I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

You bastards!

Black Is Not Beautiful

Liberals have what they always have wanted a black Muslim with ties to Osama Bin Laden to lead our country towards the extremism of Mohamed. His wife is not allowed to drive and his 1/4 white kids attend a Madrassa. He has indicated having the Koran in schools will be a giant step in this country better understanding the rest of the world. He intends to meet with radicals around the world with his message of reconciliation by giving up our military presence in these areas. With his mockery of patriotism he enables those who hate our freedoms to become even more embolden.

We now have a Democrat selected to run for president. Will both sides now work together to defeat the inept one that represents and will be the same we've had for the last eight years or will HC continue to be vilified by our side that in the end give the right more ammunition? OTC has never taken a position on this for several reasons but am inclined to think HC should be the VP.

I have a hard time slamming McCain because of what he's been through and I respect that greatly but as like the bush monkey there will be no mercy as there cannot be as the circumstances we face are too dire.

The shit we are going to see these next few months will be disgusting indeed and we ain't seen nothing yet. For any person to think the election in November is a slam dunk is being naive and even more so pretty damn stupid. '04 was a slam dunk member that?

Look the fuck out the shit is going to fly and it ain't going to be pretty!

  1. What you normally want to get out of a veep candidate is either an extra campaign asset or someone who can shore up the Presidential candidate's support with the party and Congress. Obama's shown himself to be good at campaigning, but he hasn't been with the party very long. So I think the second role is the more important here.

Clinton is one potential running mate who could fill that role very well. Maybe there are better ones, but I'm having trouble thinking of any right now. Maybe Biden, but I don't want him anywhere near the White House. Ted Kennedy? There are lots of reasons that won't happen.

So, yes, Clinton would be good for it, assuming she wanted to do it and Obama is willing.

If he chooses her there are a whole lot of wankers who are going to be shocked and dismayed, though. The last day I read the comments at FDL, a couple of them were suggesting that Obama would need a food taster if Hillary were the VP. I've decided I don't need to read the comments there for the next few months.

  2. This isn't on point, but it is timely -
I think it would be fitting to post a few lines about the huge number of Americans AND others who put their asses on the line on June 6th many years ago along and on the coast of France to preserve the freedoms this country used to cherish. Their numbers are shrinking at an awful rate and they deserve all the thanks we can offer. And the ones who are no longer with us deserve to be remembered.

  3. Cujo-got so sick of what was said or written about the Clintons particuarly these last few months. The media chose who the Dem candidate was going to be with the help of those on our side. If HC is the choice it's time for that vicious shit to stop because if there is an election we will lose for sure.

  5. Some of the venom was understandable, thanks to her never having apologized for or even truly expressed regret over her vote for the Iraq War. As far as I'm concerned, though, you have to look at any political candidate's views, votes, and actions on everything. On the whole, Clinton's been no worse than most Democrats, including Obama.

Note I wrote "some of the venom", though. I find it hard to forgive her, frankly. But the comments just got to be so over-the-top that it was hard to even get up the urge to argue with people any more. There is no cure for stupidity, I'm afraid, besides a harsh dose of reality. Often, even that won't do the trick.

  6. When HCs campaign started falling behind her stratigists had no plan B. The Rovian tactics came out and that's when she lost me. We don't need another minute of Bush light in this country. She stayed until the very end because her campaign is millions in debt. That's why she asked her supporters to head to her website. She has to pay off the debts before she runs again for senate or she could well loose there as well. She expressed no interest in taking the VP spot today so I wonder if some deal wasn't struck to help pay off the debts.
