I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

You bastards!

Liberality Wants Some Answers

Liberality tagged me with the following.

1. Clothes Shop: About once a year and I hope I don't get my ass chewed out I go to Wally World and buy some cheap ass jeans and a work shirt or two. Cabela's for their pocket t-shirts that can be found nowhere else plus a certain style of shorts. That is the style for warmer weather.

2. Furniture Shop: This is a joke isn't it. A friend gave me a bed just the other day. Shit canned the waterbed during the move. It was 20 years old. Bought a recliner maybe 5 years ago. It's kinda like a bed.Bought a futon with a good mattress a while back for company I don't get often That's what I'm sleeping on now.

3. Sweet: What else but chocolate!!

4. Denver. The only city I really lived in for a short time. Never seemed like a city back then and even now with all the growth. Diversity is there but what I think is cool is that no matter where you are at a few minutes either east or west and you're out of it. Go west and it's the mountains that await.

5. Drink. Not much these days. When it's hot there's nothing that will quench my thirst other than an ice cold beer lager preferred. Hate to say it but give me a Bud Light as it tastes just like the beer in the underage drunkfest days. A real margarita and on the rocks and with the salt thank you. Anymore I'm such a pussy after half a beer I can feel it. Last but not least wine with a cork in it at least either red or white with a little disting on the side makes for a pleasant buzz.

6. Music. I stopped collecting some time ago. What's streaming is what I like not knowing what you'll hear next and it will probably be something new. Like Liberality the old stuff is so good it never gets old. A fondness for some music from Africa is right at the top.

7. TV Series. Have not have TV for a long time. Two that never get old are Star Trek the Next Generation and of course Mash. There is not a bad episode in the bunch. Another that I got a bid charge out of was Lexx. Good stuff.

8. Film. Nothing very new and the attention span is somewhat short these days. Black Robe -Rapa Nui is another. Science fiction and Blade Runner jumps up there. The more modern westerns of course too.

9. Workout. That's easy work. I cover a lot of ground in a day which at times can be strenuous. Fishing is another but not done much if at all in the winter. At times will cover a mile plus crawling climbing and falling to get around. Worn out when it's done for sure.

10. Pastries. That's easy too. I want my maple covered long john with nuts on top every weekday. When we start at 6AM during the season the store isn't open yet and I get withdrawal symptoms.

11. Coffee. Support the local roaster but their prices can be prohibitive at times. Want it dark and it will not be Starbutts.

Let's see if we can get some production out of these guys.

  1. Hi Bud!
Have a moment from packing. Interesting! I really loved Denver! ever eat at Casa Bonita's (mexican food)? You would be fishing in the winter if you lived in New England. Love Ice fishing on lakes or on rivers for smelt. Everyone has a little 4 man fish house with a pot belly stove to keep warm. They look like villages on the ice. Love it!

  2. I get furniture once a decade if my antique stuff is starting to get just too wore out--otherwise I'm with ya.

Hey thanks for playing and passing this along.

  3. Mr Patriot,
It's a change from all this serious shit. Ate at da Casa one time only. Shoved the food out at you from a hole in the wall. You ever get out here we'll go someplace real. Believe it or not I hate winter just as bad as the repugs and do not ice fish. Do catch and release only as just don't think trout taste that good.

    Liberality,
I'm trying not to buy anything but am forced to because of this place. Actually just returned from WW where I bought some flannel sheets. I tink it will be pretty cold in here.

It was fun and thanks for thinking of me. t

I haven't been there since the early but that must be a different restaurant. This was on the main drag in the center!
This was phenomenal! It was like a city block and it was like a Mexican city under a roof.

Mariachi players walked around serenading you as you ate. Bandits were running through the place being chased and then shot while they were standing in the cave where the two story water fall went into the pool and the divers were doing their dives.

You could go down and take a tour of a gold mine. It was all you can eat and you filled your tray on the way in and when you wanted something else you raised the little flag on your table. I use to enjoy sitting by the pool watching the escapades. This place was quite unique!
You better believe we will hook up if I ever make it to Colorado again!
