I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

You bastards!

Grassley's Dumb Ass Constituents

It only a poll out of a right wing fish wrapper back in the cornfields that real doesn't mean shit - but what it does show is the Grassley's and King bastards have done their work well! These people will deny you and I the chance to purchase insurance from the corporate rapers we have now. Those fields are truly full of simple religiously insane stupid human corncobs encrusted in cow shit as pigs do not ever see the outside except to ride the semi to the slaughter house.

At one time I was proud to say I was a native son of Iowa but that feeling has been gone for some time and with what these simple fuckers have been up to in the last year I ain't changing that thought until these dimwits get their heads out of feedlot lagoons.

Feel a bit better - have a good day and appreciate you coming by.

  2. OTC- Many former Cornfielders look back with a form of nostalgia for the state we used to think we knew. The Cornfield has always been about equally divided between Progs(Harkin) and Conservatives(Grassley). It also has a strong history against war in general: there are no military bases in the state and really only one large Defense contractor, Rockwell-Collins. So, the poll tells me that Obama has done a very poor job of explaining healthcare reform to the over 65 crowd. He has also done a poor job on the bank bailout and Afganistan. The Progressives are starting to exert some sanity in these areas by calling their public option Medicare E, by using the stimulus money to aid small business(Main Street vs. Wall Street) and demanding an end to the Bush craziness in the Middle East, etc. I am with you that this is not much to hang your hat on but Obama is proving to be Conservative Dem. in a party tilting to Progressive/Populist policies from the roots up. I'm afraid that we've got Clinton redux in a country needing a Roosevelt Revolution. Cornfielders were once at the forefront of The New Deal and can be players again: they just need a President whose promises can be believed and who has their backs when push comes to shove. Believe me, the real pushing and shoving has just begun. Watch your back out there!!!

  3. I lived in NW Missouri for 13 years, just shy of the Iowa line and I was always up and around south west Iowa, up to Des Moines, saw Paul McCartney in Ames, went to Iowa City in January Brr. Like driving around on a 50,000 sq mile farm. I like Iowans, or Iwegans as we called them in Missouri and if you are from Iowa I like you too. But some of the people who run for office, like Grassley, leave people very little choice. You vote for dipshit no. 1, or dipshit no. 2, especially in the rural areas, and there are lots of rural areas in Iowa. When the candidates are all pretty bad it seems the biggest dickhead wins.

  4. Holte Ender- The Iowans I knew always clung to this one truism when discussing Iowans and Misssiurians: In Iowa you can raise the IQ of both Iowa and Missiouri a good 30 points by giving our Southern neighbors the bottom tier of our counties along our shared borders. During the Roosevelt Adm. the VP who structured much of the New Deal was a man named Henry Wallace from Iowa. He was replaced by Truman in the 1942 election for splitting with Establishment Dems who started renigging on the promises of the New Deal. You see Iowans don't mind a good political debate but they can't tolerate idiots who don't know shit from John Deere green paint and who obviously don't know the differences between free states and their Southern neighbors; often referred to in history as Slave States/ The Confedercy, etc. When I travelled in Missouri I was always amazed at seeing the slave quarters behind the huge plantation-like estates in Missouri. Lots of times as a product of Iowa farm parents I longed for someone else to do the hard work required while I oversaw, applied the whip to laggards and fornicated with the young black slaves girls at night. My parents were probably dipshits#2 in your book thou almost all of 18 uncles and aunts who were born in the area had college degrees and technical degrees. Many of my siblings and cousins, etc have multiple degrees, have money and still find time to be involved in Progressive causes. You know there some things slave money and overt racism just can't buy but explaining all this to somebody from Misery would take way too much precious time.

  5. I'm thinking that the people will head to where they think the money is. Like sheep. That's why people who make less than thirty grand call themselves Republican in S CA. Stupid, cuz that aint enough to live on here.

  6. Anonymous - I don't have a book with your parents in, I'm sure they were very nice people, even if their offspring seems to enjoy grabbing to wrong end the hickory stick and making fun of a person's honest comment. I would think with all those multiple degrees you have at your fingertips some smarts would have rubbed off.

  7. Holte Ender- Please read and try to comprehend what has been said in the Comments. I'm 56&7/8 yrs old. My uncles and aunts were born in the early part of the last century. They chose to live, work and raise their families in dipshit country after having spent time in the big cities, even Misery. They had college degrees but chose to be dumb farmers, rednecks and yes, dipshits. I, unfortunately, was captured by a renegrade offshoot of Misery Minutemen in the late 60's and have only gained my freedom very recently. Please pray for me as I work toward my G.E.D. in Iowa.
