I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

You bastards!

More Than Shades Of Iraq In Afghanistsan

From this article it isn't necessary to read between the lines to understand the situation is seriously fucked up and not getting better. Look at this shit.

homemade bombs have become a weapon of "strategic influence"
"It's a weapon system that the enemy has figured out has strategic impact"
"It really hampers our ability to execute a counterinsurgency doctrine"
The number of effective IED attacks in Afghanistan has grown from 19 in September 2007 to 106 last month.

55 killed this month the highest ever since 2001 and we get this kind of shit from the mouths of the military in Afghanistan.

It's like these people don't have a clue what business they are in. WTF!

Let reality rain down from the heavens and have Obama say we're getting the hell outta Dodge pronto!

  1. Reality rain down from the heavens? Things that make ya' go Hmm. Just my usual helping of extra snarkyness. Anywho; ya this is a disaster waiting to swallow Obama like Viet Nam did Johnson. This is a civil war among two groups who don't like each other, ya know, sort of like the Mormons vs. the Atheists. Hopefully, since Obama like Clinton, has never been shot at somebody will pull him aside and say " Not there, not now." Please will someone save us from ourselves (besides the Pashtuns).

  2. I am going to offer a slightly different view on this. I have been, lived and worked in both Iran and Afghanistan for the last 3 years. It is not that easy of a thing to too. In Iraq, yeah a lot easier. We should have never went and leaving was mostly on us. Afghan is different, that is an area that all of our allies are at. They have shed blood with us there. To just break camp will destroy a lot of other things going on that he will want to do now and do in the future. This is nothing like a civil war btw. You have to have some sort of structure in a country to call something a civil war. This is a tribal conflict in its oldest sense.
Its hard to see the faces and to hear the stories and wonder what decision is really right for us to make.
