I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

You bastards!

Thirsty - Smell Or Put A Match To It First

We have yet to hear the real depth of the problems created by drilling and the effects it has on ground water people use for drinking. Lets just say it ain't a feel good story - not even a little bit.

Cat's has been posting on this situation from Pennsylvania that's worth looking at for sure.

From today's front range fishwrapper. This is not good! This man drank from this spring for years.

Tests would show the water from a spring he has drank from for decades was heavily contaminated with a carcinogenic and nervous system-damaging chemical stew known as BTEX — benzene, toluene, ethylbenzine and xylene. BTEX and other volatile organic compounds come to the surface in the production water from oil and gas wells.

  1. You know where this is going for all the folks who cannot purify their own drinking water without a lot of work. In the commercial waterproofing industry; think roofing, speciality coatings and industrial sealants, all these chemicals are used in abundance. They are all petroleum distillates and all can kill you in very minute amounts. It says so right on the the container so be very careful out in the cornfield and remember to wear gloves and other safety items.

  2. I guess there something to be said for living in the soft swampy ground of S.E. Georgia, we get all out household water from a communal well and it tastes very good, when we go into town to a restaurant e.g., the water tastes like crap. The Haliburtons of this world are screwing the country so bad it's unbelievable.

  3. Heads Up: Please put away the Cheetos, get out of your pajamas and get on board the Obama/Emmanuel Passenger Train. Let's all ride down the track where the scenery changes constantly but the stops and destinations never do. You might call this the new version of the "Mystery Train" where it's truly a mystery why we still vote when we should all just find the nearest Wal-Mart or Charles Schwab and genuflect and pray that they remember "the people" when making the decisions that impact our daily lives. So fall in line and get out of those pajamas the choo-choo is coming, the choo-choo is coming.

  5. Just read that Barack is going to meet with the Indian Nations and I'm sure he'll get an earful about the white man's penchant for destroying "our" planet.
