I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

You bastards!

And The Answer Is

Gotten to be old shit just like the endless speculation on the HCB on what Obama's decision for Afghanistan will be.

No matter what it will be wrong. We the people spoke on what was needed and those with an ounce of brains know this cannot come to a good conclusion even if we would stay there for years.

Don't increase the #'s President Obama. Take the road of reality over that of your corporate masters and get us the hell out of there like we voted for.

That's not going to happen because our masters love perpetual turmoil and death and blood and guts and all the negatives of killing.

It is my hope troop levels are not increased in Afghanistan but when that happens only then will I believe it.

  1. I have a feeling that McChrystal is going to get everything he wants, Obama's people might say he is giving it a good think, but I believe the announcement will come close to Thanksgiving, when America is busy with travel, turkey and shopping. I would be delighted to be wrong on this.

  2. Fly~ I initially jumped on Obama's bandwagon because he was the only candidate who didn't support the EYE-RACK war. He continually said during his campaign that he did support the war in Afghanistan. I was hoping when he was elected, that maybe things would get better over there before he had to make any decision.

Unfortunately, we all know how that one turned out. Now getting to the "sending more troops" thing.

    *sigh*

I have mixed emotions about it. Part of me agrees completely with you and the other part says if we pull out, all hell will break loose. And, then there's Pakistan...

  4. Yes turkey day would be the perfect distraction Holte and may you be wrong!

I doubt if Obama gets much input from the anti-war crowd or historians Karen and he will increase I am pretty sure.

Glad you like the pictures because I enjoy that. There won't be many fresh ones soon. White is very boring. If there's any satisfaction I get from anything is the pictures and this year has been something else. It was a very small world growing up in that cornfield and I wish there would have been exposure to other thing other than chickens, pigs and Catholicism.

  5. No one should be surprised by the buildup of troops. Think Progress is reporting on how the cheerleaders for Iraq are now cashing in; primarily in oil and gas ventures. This story should only be a schock to students attending The School For The Permanently Blind. This was true in 2003 when cowboys and oilmen ran the rodeo we call America: we peaceniks were called appeasers when all we really wanted was for the majority fuck heads to quit drinking the goddamn Kool-Aid. Now this scene will again playout in the 'Stans. 6yrs from now the cowboys and oilmen will swoop in again and steal the resources under the guise of redevelopment. Again the Permanently Blind will be disgusted: I'm at a loss when otherwise good Americans continue to be stuck on stupid. It is the Corporate/ Media/Military Dictatorship wolf posing as the shepard to slaughter the freedom loving sheep. Iran is next: Bah, Bah, Bah... Can you here us now.

  6. I think that we need to think more about the troops that are there. I know that most viewers of this site do not agree with the war, in Iraq or Afghanistan. Even if you don't I beleive that we need to support the troops that are there and make sure we are taking care of them. If not sending more troops means that we are putting them at risk then send the troops. The general that the president appointed is trying to do the job that he was asked to do. He is asking for more troops, give them to him. THe reality is that we are there and we need to finish what we started.

  7. Whoever wrote this last post has not been paying attention for the last 8yrs. We are using the troops as bait to lure in the Taliban, not Al Q. Are you suggesting we give the military more bait? Do you want to be bait? Are you suggesting we escalate to the 700K range to level the baiting field? Note: If you answered yes to any of these questions you're mind is gone from to much masterbaiting, jackoff. Resolving this quagmire, like any fight, is to separate the combatants and cool things down and try to ensure no more innocents get hurt by keeping them apart. P.S. If you like the oil, gas and resource extraction corporations buy their fucking stocks. Don't send our citizens to fight their dirty little wars. You are a sufferer of the all to common disease in America: posterior craniosis. It is otherwise known as having your head up your ass.
