I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

You bastards!

Sun Search Success

Less than a hundred miles down the road the elusive orb was found and warmth was had.

Same place as last week but saw a lot of other things and different campsite.

This field was so pretty the picture doesn't capture that.

The basic two holer with a pretty fancy door. Probably would still serve the purpose quite well.

Just about home and if you have this much snow around this time of year the weather is just a different breed of cat that is for damn sure.

It's time to move on sooner than later.

  2. glad ya found the sun dood. my youngest, stephanie, is living near greeley, colorado, and has declared the weather there to be bi-polar -- during the past week, she had 4" of snow, rain, sunshine brought the temps to 70, and then there were tornadoes.

    great pics, as always dood

  3. That's just the way it is down there Suzanne but it is still a mild climate compared to the high country. She'll like it a lot. I think spring has finally arrived here at least for this week anyway.

  4. OF, could you please post some info on pictures #6 and #7?
Picture #5 may be the first rock painting I've ever seen that I can understand the reason the artist took the time to do it - looks like he was bragging to me . . .
Could #5 be a variety of lily? I've never seen a columbine quite like it.

  5. You don't know the state flower of Colorado? I remember it and left there when I was ten.
They've become common down in sympathy here ever since the tragedy at Columbine HS

  7. Hands and birdies jeg but I think I understand.

I found several of these on the way down this drainage. Started at the top way back there if you zoom in. These weren't formed by water running over them that's for sure. This area was an ocean at one time. I don't have the answer on that jeg.

The grave site was at a homestead site maybe 15 miles NE of Rangely. This was the only thing I could find of it.
