This is Bistek al la Mexicana a common dish found many places. There are several places I get this some better than others but all real decent! Kind of a tomato based sauce with generally pretty tender pieces of beef and a fair amount of it. The rice is pretty generic but the frijoles can be something else. This also includes as many fresh made in front of you tortillas you want and brought to you with a smile. Something like this costs around 50-60 pesos or $3. The squeezed as you watch orange juice is 20 and brings the price up a bit but worth it. Nothing in the States I've ever had compares to this not even close plus it'll cost 7-10 smacks. I don't know what I'm going to eat when I return. It will be an adjustment as I do this so much that is go into Puerto Vallarta on the south side and have me a excellent lunch with "real" Mexican food not the slop I get back there. I do not plan on eating out much at all only at maybe three select places. Pricey yes but worth it because it's so good. I threw away so much money last summer eating way overpriced shitty food. Several times the food got thrown away as well. The whole of Mexico is an eating machine I tell you. I'm gonna miss this.

I feel good and and think the higher temps and humidity contributes to that. It's the same every time. After a month or two you realize and say " Hey I feel pretty damn good!"

Just as important I believe the food made fresh with wholesome fresh ingredients as well contributes to that. Get off the bus in town the food smells everywhere make me hungry just like that.

The Internet Giveaway Is Beginning In Ernest

From Free Press-
On Monday, Google and Verizon made it official: Forget "Don't Be Evil" — they're planning a massive corporate takeover of the Internet.

From the mouth of the FCC Chairman-
Julius Genachowski has maintained that the FCC has no plans to regulate the Internet, saying: "I've been clear repeatedly that we're not going to regulate the Internet."

From Me-
What a whore this guy is. No way were they going to appoint Copps. Chances are high the little guys once again are going to get screwed. The corporations in all likely hood are going to gain control of the Internet and implement pricing that will do what's been said all along-a tiered structure that favors those with money. If you don't have enough then you can move along and fuck yourself until we decide to get to you.

These fuckers gain control and we've already seen what Comsuck has done the last bastion of progressive and of real liberals will be gone and that will be the final nail in the coffin of any chance of winning against both Repugs and Dims who do the bidding of their corporate masters and not "We the People".

If you care to sign a letter you can do so here

Where the fuck is Bama on this. He could make the difference but he won't because he was told this is the way it's going to be.

  1. I just signed that thanks Tom. I want a free internet but I want to access all the news free or that may be it for me. I know there is a move by MSM to have you pay but I do not want to do that. They are trying to make up for their loss of paper sales.

  2. I hate to say it but OF is right. On certain things and items he is an owned man.

  3. Not regulating the internet is the problem. They should be stopping this on anti-trust reasons.

  4. A while back a guy left a comment on one of my posts. He was home less. So he was using a computer at the library.
Guess those libraries will be getting a lot busier. That is if they are still open. Many around the country are closing due to the lack of a local tax base.

These are just more control buttons being played by the Corps. And our fucked up leaders allow it.
Lets all remember that money is the mothers milk of politics. And these fuckers have plenty of political mothers milk.

  5. You mentioned Obama...Not my favorite as of this time. I wouldn't count on him unless he get's the okay from the Republicans. We have our work cut out for us. I need a little education on this though. What if owned a server. Could you then have direct access to the net. I wonder. I could by a super computer for around 20,000. So I think that would be direct access.
End result, we're getting screwed yet again. Sure I'm going to sign it.

  6. Well men I expect nothing but the worst because that for the most part is what we deserve I guess.

I will ask the fellows who I get my internets from how they will be affected. I would assume since they buy their bandwith from the big guys that they will be caught up in this as well.

This has been ongoing for several years and is coming to a head.
