I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

You bastards!

Guvmint For Us And Anyone Else

These people who work in our National Parks,BLM offices,Monuments etc. are the best - - period! Courteous, knowledgeable and helpful plus much more.

Funds from the recent stimulus package are resurfacing roads inside and outside of parks in Arizona.

That and work inside these wonderful amazing places where all are welcome no matter where you are from providing amenities for many who may need them.

So they can at least be able to see some of the things that belong to each and every one of us. Like this for instance.

These parks and these lands in the West are owned by we the people. We must never let the rich and or the powerful gain any more control over what is ours.

  1. One of the truly great things done for this country was providing for preservation of these wild places. You're right. They belong to all of us and absolutely Must be preserved.

Thanks for the great photos. The folks who work these places are outstanding. I have to say that ruin in your header photo looks familiar. I wonder if I've been there....

  2. I agree. And great photos... An area near here is, how should I put it...hick, redneck, anyway you get the picture. They're laughing about the stimulus money because they said it was a stupid idea. They got some of it and built a sidewalk that goes nowhere..just to spend it. And, they're laughing because they think the stimulus was stupid??? Makes me sick to think of their waste...when so many places, such as the National Parks, need this funding so badly.

  3. Thanks girls! This is the first ruin in South Mule Canyon Teresa. It's about a mile up and was the only one I took time for last Saturday morning before heading for home. And I did find the ones you told me about and there will be a post on those sometime. Thank you for that. That was where I got my ouchywawa.

And TMoon you are so very correct!

  5. I will do that. Now there is a "Hurt" folder but so far haven't gone there. Not just me but others as well. For as bad as some of them look the pain was very little. I doubt if there is much interest in that at least with my sophisticated readers. Careful now.

  6. Fly, the idea of the Commonwealth is soooooo important and is seldom discussed. Kentucky is a Commonwealth and I doubt if a teacher in the state talks about the concept. Here's a brief paean to fishing my son wrote. The man would sell me down the river for a bass boat. http://thebookofcletis.blogspot.com/2011/04/fish-on-by-aaron-richardson.html
Also, a tribute to my dad from my son. http://thebookofcletis.blogspot.com/2011/04/i-havent-forgotten-grandpa-by-aaron.html
