I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

You bastards!

  1. It's always hard to feel we're in limbo. Going through a day trying to just be, without thoughts of what and where in the future is always a challenge. Today, I'm weeding and cutting back dead plants in my garden. Buddy is watching and things feel pretty good in this moment. Keeping it there is not easy, but always rewarding.

My best thoughts are with you, Tom, as you move forward into the next part of your life. It will be good.

  2. Love the pic amigo... looks almost identical to a pulloff on the road going south down Santa Rita Mesa toward Zuni Salt Lake. So similar me knowing that isn't what it is isn't good enough to keep me from feeling nostalgic.

Limboing ain't easy chum, though I haven't done it in a longish while.. Maybe Chuck or Chubby singing it then. Keep them shoulders off the floor and you'll make it amigo. Hang tight. There's more smiles out ahead than a limbo bar can knock down. J

  3. J&T - thank you both for that. That picture I think with out having access to them is by Butler Wash west of Blanding,UT in a canyou where there are 7 Towers. I got down to the ruins.

I can not wait to get back down there I tell you!! It's gonna be awhile yet. Possibly just maybe in October.

  4. Been there, One fly. I do believe we're talking the same place. Have to go through a gate and then after a short drive, the towers on top. There's an alcove halfway down to the ruins, if we're talking the same ones. After a while it can be hard to distinguish them without a topo-map in front of me.

  5. I saw some interesting ones this weekend you guys. Was told there were none at another place and there were. Over at the picture place eventually.

    It was fun damn it!

Another thing is I bought a book at Dinosaur "The Bassett Women" by Grace Mclure.

I never had a clue. This is soooo good and some of it played out here in da Boat as well as in Craig,Rock Springs Maybell,Vernal ect.

Time is about over. If I had saw this first my exploration of this area would have been done entirely different. What a story. I knew remnants but nothing close to this.

I'm just to the point where that Tom Horn hired killer comes into the picture.

This place is not that big. And then dummy me never put it together till now that Josie Morris HERE is Josie Bassett the first born of Elizabeth & Herb who came from Arkansas.

What a cast of players this has been and their spirits still roam the area.
