I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

You bastards!

Been Saying It For Years!

"We are a nation of medicine chest junkies!" And that is and has been a fact and of course not spoken of because the feds are after da pot ya see.

The numbers are truly alarming.

Blind eyes have been turned for years for any number of reasons all of which have been very wrong.

14,800 OD's four years ago in that year alone and at national and state level it is impossible to have a rational discussion on this problem because the dialog is determined by the very ones who caused the 14,800 deaths in 2008.

If you think positive change is gonna happen concerning this you are wrong. If you think after the election problems like this will be addressed in an intelligent way if at all you will be even more wrong.

What you can be 100% sure of is that the fed's war against da pot will continue in full force.

  1. That article hints at this, but I think part of the reason we're seeing so much of this now is that it's easier to treat pain than it is the underlying symptoms. That, plus the medical system in America is now far more transaction based than it used to be. It used to be about results - healthy people, in other words. Unfortunately, that's not the way health insurance pays for things, and it isn't what makes those big medical concerns profitable.

  2. That and also Colorado has a form of legalization of da pot on the ballot in November.

I think of the times I was hurting and md's would not prescribe the strong stuff.

One thing for sure is that this is huge and I continue to be a criminal in the eyes of da law.

  4. My spouse, who is an RN at a very busy hospital, says the number one issue he deals with is patient pain. Pain from post-surgical procedures and chronic diseases. Treating patient pain is one of the biggest advances of modern medicine. However, there is a push-back from busy-body Republican members in the US Congress who keep trying to pass legislation to make the drugs used to treat pain more difficult for doctors and patients to get. Rep. Mary "Douchebag" Bono (R-CA) is one of these busy-bodies.

  5. I'm very tired of these fuckers getting their way almost always. It may be fair to say Limbo the pig boy had a bunch to do with this as well.

Our world does not count only theirs and if we don't do it their way punishment must be metered out..

  6. Meanwhile, the number of people who've died of marijuana overdose continues its tremendous rate of, uhm, no growth: zero. Zero people have died of marijuana overdose. It's medically impossible. You'd have to smoke your weight in marijuana during the course of a day to get enough THC in your bloodstream to reach lethal levels, and even Willie Nelson's never managed that (heh!).

Yet marijuana is illegal, and oxycontin, which has killed thousands, is legal. Amazing. Simply amazing.

  7. That is an incredible statistic. It's hard not to be cynical.
