I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

You bastards!

Not a cloud in the sky and sun at our back. It will be a real pretty ride to Pagosa Springs shortly. The last car we drove to look at was not "pristine" as represented for it's mileage and age. I'd bet money this car will be like it said to be.

Headed into different terrain crossing two mountain passes. It is fairly drab around here at best and have been sticking probably too close to home but it's now less than two weeks away for the flight out. Pretty much ready with a few small things left to do.

Maybe I will find a picture some place as in the last few weeks there just haven't been any to be had. At times you just see them and a lot of the time you get lucky.

Later - have a good one.

BTW - there's a live one in here somewhere think under the fridge. Damn cat slipped one in. It's staying inside today.

  1. My first visit to Pagosa Springs was in 1979, after backpacking for a week in the Weminuche Wilderness. Gas was $1.00 a gallon back then, and I almost had a stroke paying that much.

  3. I read all of Zane Grey's books before I was 12. I always wanted my own hidden box canyon where I could escape on my horse. I'd push a big rock and some shrubbery in front of the entrance and live there in my small, but wisely constructed shack. I almost liked Grizzly Adams' set up as well, but a box canyon would have made it ideal. Great picture. I still want a box canyon.

  4. Jose had two this one and another not very close. Both had springs and it was was where she penned her animals. Couldn't have been better. In the second there are these tiny orchids that only grow there. I think you could get out of both of these but on foot only. These are very cool.

I think you should have have for yourself too.

Then you know if you're the bad guy/guys and being chased rule number one is don't go up a box canyon.
