I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

You bastards!

God Himself Explains SS Has "Absolutely Nothing To Do With The Deficit"

This needs to be spread around. Any Dim who speaks of cuts to Social Security and the other two biggies need to be neutered or more. They are not on our side.

We pay into these programs through our working career so it's available to us when we get older. Yes the employer chips in as well. That's how it works and works pretty damn good too.

Every elected person who calls them self a democrat should be screaming this 24/7.

  2. I thought I had successfully left a comment earlier but now I don't see it. Trying again. Anyway, thanks for putting this up and spreading the word One Fly! Our earned benefits have to be protected and curses to anyone who would "negotiate" them away!

    1. You may have not passed the test and didn't see that you flunked. Sometimes it takes me awhile.

The talking points which happens to be the simple truth are not heard. The reason for that is why the pile of shit we're standing in is above our necks.

  5. And something else that forever pisses me off is the propaganda effort Wall Street constant heaps upon us to undermine confidence in Social Security. With something like 2.7 trillion dollars in the trust fund, Social Security is NOT in trouble and can pay all scheduled benefits for at least the next 21 years.

Hell, if I had 21 years of expenses saved up in the bank I would be feeling pretty damn good about it! You probably know that the reason the Post Office is having difficulty these days is because RePIGliCONs imposed a requirement that the Post Office must pre-fund their retirement plan for 75 years into the future. (No wonder RePIGliCONs want to privatize the Post Office so they can get their hands on that pension money too!).

But if you want to pre-fund Social Security for the next 75 years too, then take the damn cap off and make the big time earners pay into Social Security on 100% of their income like I always had to. And they can afford it!!! Hell, you could raise benefits too.

Oh, and another thing, this time on the vaunted 401K as the solution for America's retirement needs. To be sure, I am glad to have my 401k as it is helping me now (60 and unemployed) but it is not a replacement for pensions or Social Security. It's only a supplement.

Everyone should do this check for themselves but I went through my records and added up the money I contributed to my 401k as compared to the Social Security tax I paid.

And I contributed more to my 401k plans over the years than I paid into Social Security and guess what. Even if I converted all of my 401k to bonds paying 5%, I will still get a larger monthly benefit from Social Security than my 401k can generate.

The average person, unless they make perfect investment decisions, simply cannot save enough in a 401k to replace Social Security. You better protect Social Security folks!

  6. Well said! Tell me more sometime about the PO.

Every American should be offered the opportunity to save that has incentives to do so. It's an obvious win win and just not for people with "good jobs" that give benefits.

We can fund war day in day out but not something like that.
