This MRSI Bacteria Is Damn Scary

On 3/14 put this post up on MRSI.

Just now saw this.

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. — Ryan Robinson went from a healthy, 17-year-old soccer player at the peak of his form to another victim of a deadly drug-resistant strain of bacteria — all within the span of five days.

It was MRSA, short for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus that killed this young man just like that.

This shit is killer nasty and isn't going away any time soon. One Fly go back to the cornfield to visit he ain't going anywhere near a hog confinement building or a pig in general period.

  2. We got us a pandemic waiting around out there. The time isn't yet quite right, but it's coming: when the domestic stock has been rendered immune to the run-of-the-mill pathogens, one of them for which there hasn't hitherto been a niche, will pop up.

Civilization both was born but also--like everything born--began the journey toward death when it brought the domestic animals into the house...

  3. There was a 14 year old student at the school near the library where I work that died from this 2 years ago.
