Thumbs Up On The Tata Nano

Have been waiting for actual road tests on the worlds cheapest car after it was introduced early this month. Well they're here and it is a bit of a surprise.

People who are driving it love it and are amazed how well it performs. Some of the videos are funny as hell but the bottom line they made a excellent small car that is not that small. Plus they make good beer too.

If Tata can do it we can too and damn well should in these times. There is a market for a vehicle like this in our country/

  1. The thing is that there are so many hurdles that get in the way of a car like this. You have the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Evironmental Protection Agency, Center for Automotive Safety, Insurance Industry Crash Testing and I sure I have left a few out. I believe that a car like this would be useful and very affordable but by the time Tata pays for all the testing and certification the cost will be about $2,000.00 more. I am using the figure that wawhat was added to the Yugo, which I sold and it really put them up close to a good used car in price, and somehwat doomed the car from the beginning. Asie from the electrical problem that plagued the little Czech car. OMHO

  2. I understand that Russ but this car wasn't designed to run with the big dogs in any way so many of those criteria need to be shitcanned with some common sense involved. People need to be able to decide for themselves how safe they choose to be rather than have government protect them.

  3. I live in a rural area, so there isn't the traffic like there is in heavily populated areas. I would love to have one of those, and I really don't care what the govt or the insurance companys think.

  4. I'm almost to the point I don't give a fuck what they do to me. And if it's true that in 2012 I believe there will be a GPS tracking chip in drivers licenses I will refuse. Noone needs to know where One Fly is at.
