So many have their hopes up for a quality HCB but when I see this it tells me it will not be close to what is needed and what we put these people in office for.
"He is loved by his colleagues on both sides of the aisle. (South Carolina Republican Sen.) Lindsey Graham comes up and gives him a massive hug. He has great working relationships with members on both sides, because people see him as a team player and a centrist."
I don't want a centrist position. This asshole voted for the corporations while in the senate time and time again. Biden is there as well. Couldn't read all the bullshit in this article.
The Senate bill for HC is very compromised already. By sending in The Mod Squad it will be even more so. It is way past time that we reduce the number of states to 40 or so. Combining the Dakotas with Nebraska would be good start. Kansas and Oklahoma, next. We need to remember that the little backward states are holding back the heavily populated, progressive states. If a state's population doesn't represent at least 1% of the 340 million Americans in this country it shouldn't get 2 votes. The exception of course would be Oregon and Iowa which should get at least 3 votes because their citizens are so smart and the women are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA wise old activist explained to me years ago the difference between a Republican, a Democrat and a Progressive. A poor soul has slipped off a cliff and hangs 10 feet below the edge of plunging to his death. A Republican comes along and, seeing the dangling man, stops and shouts out encouraging words and slogans: " Pull yourself up, man, Pull yourself up." A Democrat comes along and grabs a 7 ft rope and lowers it down to the man, shouting " Jump up man, trust me, jump up to the rope." A Progressive comes along, sees the dangling man, the Repug and the Dem. He immediately sizes up the situation, lowers an 11 ft rope, rescues the man and together they throw the the Repug and the Democrat over the cliff and go have a beer together.
