Lock It Up Or Else Go Lowrider

One of the fringe benefits of driving a vehicle that sits off the ground. Then with battery operated tools slicing converters off gets so easy even Granny can do it.

  1. So what am I supposed to do, weld a tab onto my catalytic converter and chain it to the frame of my Jeep? At least my catalytic converters aren't hanging out in the open -- there's two of them buried right below the exhaust manifolds, and the big one under the car is above the transfer case belly skid plate -- but I don't see any real way to secure them against someone who really wants them. I mean, crap, my Jeep doesn't even have an internal release for the hood -- just whack open the two latches on the outside corners of the hood, and lift the latch at the front center, and you're open. Just another reason to carry comprehensive auto insurance, sigh!
