Hope And The Reality

My hope for a long time now has been that our country would change from a government controlled by the Pentagon with a budget for them that makes it impossible to implement and sustain programs we need "for the people".

Was I ever naive to actually think such a thing because the reality is just the opposite. 25 this month killed in Afghanistan and most are good with that - thinking they get a pass for not saying no to perpetual war for the corporations because they spend a few minutes today to acknowledge those killed in our wars.

Paying homage to these men and women across the land doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot if at every cemetery there is not a cry by the speakers and attendee's to bring this perpetual war machine to an end.

  3. I hate war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only as one who has seen its brutality, its futility, its stupidity.

    1. That was on a little lake in Missouri. It caught my eye and lo and behold as they say this picture happened. To me this represents a kids imagination. Thank you!

I did not see many pictures there.
