How many of the gun people who are in fear of losing "something" are TBaggers.
How many attending the convention this weekend are from the right and how many are on the left.
How many are there like myself who have guns but do not ponder "losing" them or something else for even a second.
Whether it is this issue or any of the other biggies this country is so divided it in many ways is war like with rhetoric to match and actions that identify with it.
There is no changing of minds either. We are in it now for the duration along with a government that is just as incapable of any intelligent dialog.
Answers? Sure just like you have. So what. Who listens anyway. Oh - "you're so negative". Give it a break it's called Reality and it sure sucks these days.
(laughing) That picture looks like BF's cousin... hahaha!!! We stayed one night with them while in Colorado two years ago. I knew I was in trouble when we pulled into their driveway (all the signs). Ended up going to bed early, so I didn't have to hear the crap. The next morning, we all went to breakfast and she told us that she had just gotten her conceal permit...then proceeded to finger shoot around the table, even making little gun noises...she's a retired teacher!!! very scary!!! even BF was glad to get out of there...
ReplyDeleteFly...honest!!! she actually wore those kind of clothes to breakfast!!!
ReplyDeleteI believe you. We are polar opposites of many on the right which includes for sure most of the gunners. Why couldn't they and the rest have gotten fired up over the bushes the bank fraud the mortgage fraud the - the - the you know.
ReplyDeleteSame here as now pretty much as well Fearguth. Yes there is a gun close but I would be dead meat before I'd be able to use it.
DeleteI guess the "fear" factor has worked more than good for the ones who employed it.
When I was a youth, my father owned a .22, a 12-gauge shotgun, and some sort of 'deer rifle'. They stayed in the closet most of the time and no one in my family gave them a second thought. Their purpose was for hunting, but that was something we rarely did because we lived in (or near) town for the most part. It never occurred to us that we owned guns for self-defense.
ReplyDeleteThe Tea Party understand on some level that their vision of America is fading away, and that's why they're afraid.
ReplyDeleteI like your header!

If Obama had half the contempt for the second amendment which he has for the first, the gun laws would already be in place.
