Now we can believe him because he invoked John Wayne? The John Wayne of " The Searchers" who shot buffalo just to deny starving Indians food or the John Wayne of " Red River": you know the one who makes his own rules and issues beatdowns to anyone who calls him out? I guess the cops should hold Wayne up as their hero. Me, I'm more of a Paul Newman fan.
tho' i'm in general grateful for police, i also recognize that self-selection tends to populate the force with... well, gestapo wannabes - right-wing authoritarians, with guns... not all of 'em, but a noticeable number.
