Alberto reminds me of Eichmann, the architect of the "Final Solution" -- just a bland bureaucrat tasked with doing something abhorrent who didn't have even the slightest qualm or second thought about performing the task he'd been assigned by his Great Leader, even though the task assigned as a crime against humanity. Obedience to authority is always the primary instinct of the Eichmann and Alberto types, and their responsibilities towards humanity and simple common decency... well. Not even on their radars.
I always saw Alberto as this smarmy, spineless wonder boy wannabe. I have nothing good to say about him, so I best go for now.

ReplyDeleteThey hung Eichmann, BTW. Just sayin'.
