Almost got hit by a thousand pound boulder that way, it passed about 6 inches in front of my bumper, and I said the exact same thing. So actual impact not necessary :).
Like the Penquin and you know too in when things start melting in the high country all kinds of material falls onto the road. I hope a big piece doesn't ever get my number. There's been too many killed on Colorado's roads like this.
