Outlook Ruin

Watching this will surprise you and we are actually a bit overwhelmed ourselves with this.

For a couple older guys we did well. And the truth of the matter is although it appears dangerous and it is we were very cautious and only a stupid move would have caused one of us to get hurt.

Also we want people to know we never entered touched or removed anything from this site.

We accomplished what we set out to do for the second time in 16 years with video. We hope you enjoy this short movie of an Anasazi ruin high in the sky and for certain never seen by many people ever.

  6. Very impressive video. I've hiked up to more than a few ruins in the region myself, and it's well worth the effort.

  9. Glad you all liked it because both Jim and I feel this is a bit special.

pygalgia have you seen ruins that are located this high on a formation similar to this one?

  10. Never quite that high, but I've hiked up to a few cliff dwellings in S. Utah that were pretty high up. I assume they chose to live at that height for defense purposes, but I'm no expert.

  11. Thanks pygalgia. I forgot to mention that we did find a spring on top but how long it runs is anybodys guess.

  13. Very cool video! Bitchin' hike to get up there, though -- I couldn't do it, I'm too afraid of heights.

    Thank you.
