Pentagon Changes Army's Training Goals

I find this interesting. I just wonder who they think will engage them in "large-unit" engagements. Although I do not agree with with the majority of this country's budget used for the military I acknowledge we can and should be able to beat anyone out there in open engagements.  

Window-rattling shellfire on Fort Carson's training range will be heard more often in the future as the Army shifts its training goals back to large-unit operations with artillery, armor and helicopter support. "Our training is shifting away from counter-insurgency and back into more direct action," 

I occasionally can actually hear explosions from Fort Carson maybe 45 away as the crow flies. Then there is the Pinyon Canyon(and they want much more) training site not too far to the SE. There is a fair amount of military air traffic and vehicles on the interstate going to and from these two places. I do enjoy seeing big planes flying low btw.

This fellow in the article goes on to say - "We're going to be noisier in the future,". I say kiss my ass you smug bastard!

We're Leaving

At the end of 2014 that is. This is not leaving. Until that happens if it does we are still there and the number of our dead for nothing continues daily.

Then there's this - they were armed with "automatic rifles, rocket-propelled grenade launchers and suicide vests."

How many times does the same need to happen? Afghanistan could have been over years ago but the Empire prefers this and we are the one and the same.

Coalition military authorities in Afghanistan on Saturday said the insurgents who attacked a British airfield in southwestern Afghanistan on Friday, killing two U.S. Marines, wore U.S. Army uniforms and destroyed six Harrier fighter jets.

It Was Never Going To Be Won

The Empire has years of training experience in "over there" places and much of that involves weapons and "security".

All that training and they turn on you - like in and on our major - who gives a shit war front which is in Afghanistan.

It appears the training was poor in that bad guys with back rounds to indicate that were recruited into the military and the police forces. 350,000 strong.

Now they kill us but we are "winning".

Afghanistan’s Defense Ministry on Wednesday said it has detained or removed hundreds of soldiers from its military’s ranks as part of an investigation into the backgrounds of its troops 

Think of how many years the response has been pretty much the same when a helicopter goes down.

The Taliban claimed to have shot down a helicopter in eastern Logar province, where coalition forces are staging an operation against the insurgents. The Taliban often issue claims of responsibility even when it is unclear whether they had anything to do with the downing of an aircraft.

And most of the time they did! Years of this same shit and all it does is continue and not a fucking word is said by those who could stop it.

We are so screwed.

Will We Ever Hear No More?

Not a chance. Afghanistan is off the table for most who could make a difference. Few give a shit and these men and women died for absolutely nothing in a hell hole of a country where those we train kill our own. NO MORE!

You Gotta Be Kidding But They're Not

I don't need this crap right outta the box early in the morning. These rich fucks are serious too and trust me if they could they would squeeze you for what they think is your share if they had a chance.  If you have military-age children who have not served in this decade's wars, then you owe a debt — meaning money — to those who did. That's the premise of a new fundraising effort by three wealthy American families who want to help U.S. veterans of the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

My comment and it deserved much more than what I gave and my hope is that I pissed many off -

Is this what wealthy people do with their time? Seriously this is considered news?

I have many better ideas than these wealthy people.

Rather than paying your way out of their guilt feelings why don't you work within the system and get the draft reinstated for your Empire's wars and change it so those in DC who are elected children go first.

Then change the tax codes so the rich and corporations pay their fair share like the rest of America does.

Besides that there are many of us who have been supporters of our troops long before you got on the bandwagon wanting to find a way to ease what ever nonsense feelings you rich people think you have concerning these men and women.

For example-
I supported them by not wanting them sent to Iraq to die for lies of the bush killers and the 1% who live here and profiteer from war. I supported and still do support them by wanting them home all these years from Iraq and Afghanistan.

I find the premise totally disgusting in the sense these well to do people are so willing to pay up and want others with children who did not serve the Empire with a gun in their hand to if they had their way to have to pay as well.

Military Chesters Lie Their Brass Asses Off As Usual

This is not news but a total lie that is fed to the sheep many of which feed on it. It's only a diversion from the truth and the reality of perpetual war.

Military leaders have said the nation has never fought wars this long with this small of a military, deploying troops over and over. Yet questions remain about how many times a soldier can recycle into combat without psychological harm.
