This is Bistek al la Mexicana a common dish found many places. There are several places I get this some better than others but all real decent! Kind of a tomato based sauce with generally pretty tender pieces of beef and a fair amount of it. The rice is pretty generic but the frijoles can be something else. This also includes as many fresh made in front of you tortillas you want and brought to you with a smile. Something like this costs around 50-60 pesos or $3. The squeezed as you watch orange juice is 20 and brings the price up a bit but worth it. Nothing in the States I've ever had compares to this not even close plus it'll cost 7-10 smacks. I don't know what I'm going to eat when I return. It will be an adjustment as I do this so much that is go into Puerto Vallarta on the south side and have me a excellent lunch with "real" Mexican food not the slop I get back there. I do not plan on eating out much at all only at maybe three select places. Pricey yes but worth it because it's so good. I threw away so much money last summer eating way overpriced shitty food. Several times the food got thrown away as well. The whole of Mexico is an eating machine I tell you. I'm gonna miss this.

I feel good and and think the higher temps and humidity contributes to that. It's the same every time. After a month or two you realize and say " Hey I feel pretty damn good!"

Just as important I believe the food made fresh with wholesome fresh ingredients as well contributes to that. Get off the bus in town the food smells everywhere make me hungry just like that.

Mary The Economist States The Obvious

Why do they  waste the ink on this crap.

Well no shit Cisco. Having just returned from Nevada I can vouch for that. And then in Vegas 261 have lost their jobs.

For whatever it's worth several times people expressed to me their dislike for Mexicans and it actually made me feel uneasy.

And the economy killer continues to gush in the gulf.

  1. Journalism? MSM is nothing more than lip service. The dumbing down of America is the one thing that they have succeeded at.

  3. One of the things that seem to happen any time an economy contracts a lot, as ours is really doing at the moment, is people start to blame "the others" for the problem. The others could be blacks, Mexicans, Jews, or whoever it is who is a minority and not particularly appreciated anyway. We're seeing that now. The immigration "reform" effort is just one example.

Just another example of the principle of Molestus hoc, ergo propter hoc in action.

  4. I hear you on this one big time Dude.

I ended up being called a fuckhead once by a local reporter who insisted on repeating over and over that "we need leadership." No fucking kidding moron. I asked him if he thought of that all by himself. Then I informed him leaders need good followers and all he and people like him do is bitch yet offer no solutions to anything.

That's why other than Huffington Post on the odd chance I'll see a hot chick in a bikini I rare;y read anything but the bloggers like you on my link and follow list. It pisses me off that some idiot is getting paid to come up with either the obvious or the ignorant.

  5. Sometimes the obvious needs to be stated (e.g., "Unless things change they are likely to remain the same.")
But this example probably isn't one of those times.

  6. We lived a very spicy life the past 35 years with a few bland spots and I don't believe life will get spicy for awhile. There will be a few moments where someone somewhere gets a taste of something spicy but the US as a whole is destined to live a bland life for years. The spice traders are out of product and need to regrow their stock and it will take years to get a harvest.

  7. Thanks for the thoughts friends. I'm busy and tired and really didn't think this picture was that good jeg. Appreciate it.

And I too Truth go to all of you because the chafe has been cut through and I have to admit my attention span on many things is short. I do not have to visit winger/nutter sites to know what's on their mind.

And the gusher continues to gush good people.
