I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

You bastards!

Hanging Out

Hanging and hiking around Alamogordo. Oliver Lee Park is very nice and am headed back there tonight as well. Then sometime tomorrow will head north a few miles. Very pleasant here but it's like that many places. Even here the dead of winter generally is not that nice.

I know little and may this find all who stop by in good spirits. Still have some issues with the ride but think it will be okay. That is why I'm not straying too far away from anywhere. Have a good one!  OF

  3. My mother grew up in New Mexico close to that area. Every year, on our way to Texas, we stopped and stayed awhile. I sometimes think I know Lots about New Mexico and Texas, but in reality I didn't go back after I was 14 and my younger child was 17. Of course we just traveled through on our way to Lubbock.

    I love seeing it again.

By the way...who is taking care of the cat or is she with you?

    Thanks

    Linda

  4. If you're headed west there's a great desert part south of the highway as you crest the ridge going toward Cruces worth some hikes. Or if you're going north there's a hamburger joint/bar east of the highway just as you go into Carrizozo that will give you pause for thought.

Have a great trip amigo. Jules

  6. I love white sands, such a beautiful area. Give me a hail if you come up to Albuquerque, maybe we'll get out on the links and talk the unspeakables: sex, politics and religion.

  7. This spring we'll golf at Paco Ridge or what ever the hell the name of it is. The super owes me and I've not forgotten that. Plus he's a cornfield boy which don't mean a whole hell of a lot I guess.
