I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

You bastards!

Colors And Stuff

If not you should know pictures of anything are taken around here at times. This guy was inside and a bit over a 1/2" long. This new camera does not do macro's near as good as the three Pentax camera's that came before it. Still worth clicking on to get a better look though.
And yes there is quite a diversity in plants and colors.

This fellow was no more than an 1.5" long. Do not have a clue what he was going to grow up to be. This could be it.

Took a cruise a bit north of Vallarta and then east into farm country and there was a lot going on. There is no lack of food around here that is for sure.

Behind these mountains not seen here are some massive scraggly fourteener's. Do not have a picture at all. Just looks interesting and here is maybe a few hundred feet above sea level.

The job to have around here may be a tractor operator.

Many inexpensive places to eat. None out in the country though like Costa Rica.

The place I live is almost dead center.

The mountains around Nogalito are pure jungle that's all there is too it. To get to the other side here would not be easy.

  1. My Goodness! it truly is akin to what I'd call Paradise. Great pictures, 'Fly. Wish "I" was there! Are there many expat residents nearby?

  2. It's not paradise bj but if you want to get away from from winter it would be something like that.

There are many expats here bj many on a high end tourist agenda in Vallarta and north and south along the coast. Here in town there are at least a dozen or more full timers and more is probably closer.

I think there may be more Canadians that Americans. Hell no it ain't perfect but there are advantages like no one getting shot and killed like back in CO where someone was shot a block away from my house Tue in the afternoon.

You can make this what ever you like. This month will be a good indicator of what it really costs for me and I don't do a hell of a lot outside of a bit of hiking and eating and shopping for food different places for different things.

The town we went to the other day to pick up a government personal document for somebody had no gringo stuff of any sort. We were the only ones on town. There was alot going on it seemed small business wise not dependent of any sort on outsiders. This was the real thing and again people are sooooo nice to you.

There are some things not liked and a few things missed but I am glad I am here and say that everyday and a bit more. Every day is a good one after dodging that hurricane.

    Es un buen dia hoy.

  3. "You can make this what ever you like. " That goes for wherever one happens to be. My beautiful Confederate Rose felt winter's first bite yesterday morning. We bottomed out at 27° yesterday morning early with her in full bloom. Though it'll be in the 60's today here by tomorrow Ms. Polly'll be a sad sight. We'd both enjoy some of that sweatin' weather, right about now, me and that bush.
When people ask "How are you?" I always answer that I am well, all things considered, and that every day on THIS side of the dirt is a good one. I'm lookin' at Flowers instead of Roots!
    Take Care, Friend
