No They Are Not Being Picked On

Meaning and will use the term energy finder and/or producers of energy. What I've seen and read they find it very hard to do business because of the "regulatory" issues encountered.

Look at the #'s below and go spend some time around these areas much of which is way out nowhere and you will be blown away by what you see.

So sick of the untruths it gets hard to give a shit sometimes. 

   

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management authorized Denver-based Gasco Energy Inc. to drill 1,298 wells on no more than 575 drill pads set back from the high cliffs of Desolation Canyon. 

 Gasco's approval came a month after Salazar authorized Anadarko Petroleum Corp., based in The Woodlands, Texas, to drill up to 3,675 new gas wells over the next decade in another area of eastern Utah. 

 According to the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance, Salazar's approval lets Gasco drill 215 wells inside the proposed Desolation Canyon wilderness area. 

The BLM is considering other gas-drilling projects for eastern Utah. Next up for approval is a proposal by Houston-based Newfield Exploration Co. to drill 5,700 wells on land immediately north of Gasco's project and father from Desolation Canyon.

To Say There's A Lot Don't Cut It

Any regular here knows how much I've hung out in western Colorado central and northern part plus Utah. There have been posts concerning the amount of activity with the oil and gas industry in those areas. The biggest and most active is south of Duchesne,UT. and there business is thriving.

Now that I live somewhere else I've seen new things. Much of what I do here is based on observation and past experiences as is this post. We're talking Bloomfield and Aztec area around NW New Mexico where I have just spent a bit of time.

Out in the boonies where I just moved from you will see quite of bit of support activities happening including Rangely and Vernal. I was not in the boonies here but did see enough in and around these two cities to comment on it.

And that is I have never seen anywhere close to the amount of oil and gas related traffic in those towns as I saw here. I was amazed I really was. There was also a slight odor and in some lower areas outside of town that had off colored clouds/pollution above.

It was very easy to tell the vehicles were because all had flags on them. My point is this - if there are this many in town where there are no wells - how many are in the country. Over all the total traffic volume from these vehicles seemed about 30 - 40%. It was a pain in the butt actually. Glad to leave but there cool ruins in both of these towns that were both must sees.

I can say it but does not make it so. The short window shot video does.

Don't try and say guvmint stymies the oil and gas corporations cuz it just ain't so.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia —

President Bush urged the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries on Tuesday to take into account the toll that high oil prices are having on the American economy, gingerly touching on an issue that has begun to color the last year of his presidency and dominate the presidential election campaign.


Speaking to a group of Saudi entrepreneurs and later in an interview with reporters, Mr. Bush expressed his concern about the economy in some of his starkest language yet, saying that rising oil and gasoline prices are causing hardship for American families.

“It’s affected our families,” Mr. Bush told reporters, adding that he would raise the issue with the Saudi leader, King Abdullah, during a meeting on Tuesday evening at the king’s lush horse farm in the desert outside Riyadh. “Paying more for gasoline hurts some of the American families.”

As Mr. Bush himself acknowledged, it was not clear that his entreaties could have any significant effect on oil prices. He said the demand for oil, especially from expanding markets in China and India, as well as from the United States, was rising faster than supplies.

Saudi Arabia’s oil minister, Ali al-Naimi, appeared to rebuff the president’s appeal, though he did so gently. “We will raise production when the market justifies it,” he said at a press conference after Mr. Bush’s remarks.

How pathetic can this guy get?
He knows as well as I do that OPEC is going to do what is good for OPEC.
Bush is over there making people pretend that he is still relevant.
No one wants his ass there, especially those unfortunate enough to have to entertain the dangerous idiot and
trying to pretend he gives a rats ass about the average American family is the most insulting thing of all.
Everybody in the whole world is waiting for this guy to exit, stage left and are holding their breath until they see him stagger off into the sunset,one year and five , very long, days from now.
Give it up George, they don't like you either, maybe not for being a murderous ass clown, but for being the incompetent, swaggering spoiled brat that you are that makes rich folks everywhere cringe and hide the liquor.
