I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

You bastards!

Do You Remember Sibel?

I do and she is one of this country's hero's. If you read anything today consider this piece.

The former FBI translator and whistleblower suggests blackmail may be at the heart of Congressional refusal to bring accountability and oversight to its own members - such as both Hastert and Harman - in matters of espionage and national security

  1. I hope this doesn't catch anyone by surprise in lite of what Rep. Harmon has been up to. Hastert was involved in some very questionable land deals involving the EPA and also road-building. Sibel is a hero and knows better than most that what you know about our gov't can, and will be, held against you. I'm surprised Sibel is still in the mix after being sucker punched by Sen. "Ground Chuck" Grassley during the phony Senate hearings. Black Bag Ops are still used all over the world by our gov't in spite of the Church hearings in the late 70's so we continue to kill people, take their children, etc under dubious nat'l security blankets. Leaves me cold!!!

  2. This is one of the reasons the FISA issue concerned me so much. There was an obvious opportunity for just this sort of blackmail. Combined with the Bush Administration's attempt to corrupt the Dept. of Justice, this was an obvious prescription for bad law.

We certainly got our share of it.

  3. Let me just add that there's not yet been what I'd call conclusive proof of such blackmail, but Harman's case, in particular, certainly suggests it.

  4. The thing about whistle-blowing is that you gotta have both a whistle-blower and a whistle.

    Sybil's the whistle-blower.

The "Press" should be the whistle.

    Where's the whistle?

    Pucker up and blow?

  5. The other potential whistles are the inspectors general of the various government departments, and the Dept. of Justice. None of them seemed particularly motivated to root out the kind of wrongdoing Edmonds tried to expose.

  6. I haven't read that yet but I will. We assumed years ago that it was blackmail. I am going to read that now so thanks! The whole shebang was complicit as they all were enablers!

  7. Given the fact that for the last eight years and that includes up to now as well-there has been for the most part no accountability at fucking all and that is the truth of the matter.

It's politics and deals are made that's the way it works for good or bad.

Let's take Iraq. Simply you don't make deals on going to war on lies and they did willingly all go along with it except for the few.

What I say and have for some time and I agree with Sibel on her piece that the shit she speaks of is true 100%. It's deeper than that though and very sinister. These fuckers kill people at will and think nothing of it.

On the floor deals in congress are part of it but not all as the only thing that can explain why the dims have literally held nobody into account for years and have the power to do so now but will not is that they fear for their or their families lives.

We and especially congress are not in control but it's some sort of consortium of evil that manipulates in various devious ways from outside that arena.

So someone had some dirt on a congress person who was not supporting the monkeys agenda leading up to the invasion of Iraq because he knew it was pure bullshit. So he sold himself out to save his ass and let the carnage begin and supports it to this day. Sure maybe some-but not across the board in the numbers seen. I will not buy that for a second. These people were being pressured in other ways. It's the only thing that makes sense.

  8. OneFly,

"So someone had some dirt on a congress person who was not supporting the monkeys agenda leading up to the invasion of Iraq because he knew it was pure bullshit "I read somewhere that The only congressman looking at the Patriot Act was Daschle. Remember who got sent anthrax?

I wouldn't put it past Darth Cheney.

  9. The biggest fear of the wealthy elites in the U.S. is the rise of social democracy among the masses. Its idea that resources and rights should be more or less equally distributed scares the shit out of them. Whether our representatives like it or not they do the bidding for this group because he who has the gold makes the rules. He also buys judges, gov't officials, newspapers and private investigators to make this happen. One way or another they influence and direct this crazy orchestra we call America. Get in their way and they will render you and your loved ones unrecognizable: with extreme prejudice.
