This is Bistek al la Mexicana a common dish found many places. There are several places I get this some better than others but all real decent! Kind of a tomato based sauce with generally pretty tender pieces of beef and a fair amount of it. The rice is pretty generic but the frijoles can be something else. This also includes as many fresh made in front of you tortillas you want and brought to you with a smile. Something like this costs around 50-60 pesos or $3. The squeezed as you watch orange juice is 20 and brings the price up a bit but worth it. Nothing in the States I've ever had compares to this not even close plus it'll cost 7-10 smacks. I don't know what I'm going to eat when I return. It will be an adjustment as I do this so much that is go into Puerto Vallarta on the south side and have me a excellent lunch with "real" Mexican food not the slop I get back there. I do not plan on eating out much at all only at maybe three select places. Pricey yes but worth it because it's so good. I threw away so much money last summer eating way overpriced shitty food. Several times the food got thrown away as well. The whole of Mexico is an eating machine I tell you. I'm gonna miss this.

I feel good and and think the higher temps and humidity contributes to that. It's the same every time. After a month or two you realize and say " Hey I feel pretty damn good!"

Just as important I believe the food made fresh with wholesome fresh ingredients as well contributes to that. Get off the bus in town the food smells everywhere make me hungry just like that.

We Don't Need No Stink'in Oil Spill Panel

We need action not talk. What a bunch of bull shit. I can't believe it but I agree with Vitter.

"Democratic leaders in Congress haven't focused enough attention on the disaster off of Louisiana's coast. Ongoing congressional hearings on the spill are simply a distraction and should wait until after the well has been capped".

Bama says "We need to do a lot more to protect the health and safety of our people, to safeguard the quality of our air and water, and to preserve the natural beauty and bounty of America," Fuck that!

How about talk on just how this is going to be stopped and how you are going to make BP responsible for their crimes against the environment and humanity.

BP and the rest of the most evil in the world told the US to play nice and let the criminals take care of this at their leisure and everything will be just fine.

So that's exactly what's happening.

Are you proud of your country for doing squat and actually hindering efforts in what will likely be one of the worst disasters ever?

UPDATE
Here is the link to Obama's weekly address. To be fair the US has contributed resources to this effort. Stick by the entirety of the post above and even more so!

Keep the goddamn political bullshit out of this until the sonofabitch is shut fucking off okay??

  3. Fly, at that depth, only the oil companies have signidicant engineering experience. No manned sub has ever gone deeper than 2,500 feet, not half deep enough. BP should never have been allowed to drill this well. All deep water drilling should be suspended immediately.

Obama must stop all off shore drilling now.
He was against it during the campaign.
As president he is for it.

Now he must admit he made a mistake and swallow his oil pride.
Unfortunately the oil Corps have All POLITICIANS in their pockets.

  5. ah, yes: a 'panel' - just what the doctor ordered.
    another 'fact finding' bureaucratic response!
once-upon-a-time i wrote notes on 'management'. one of my favorite metaphors, from my optometrist: "as you age the lens adds more & more layers - like an onion. eventually there are so many layers that it loses flexibility." - just like 'management' - in response to problems, management's solution is to add another layer of... MANAGWEMENT! - eventually the organization hasn't the flexibility to FOCUS ON THE PROBLEMS!
