This is Bistek al la Mexicana a common dish found many places. There are several places I get this some better than others but all real decent! Kind of a tomato based sauce with generally pretty tender pieces of beef and a fair amount of it. The rice is pretty generic but the frijoles can be something else. This also includes as many fresh made in front of you tortillas you want and brought to you with a smile. Something like this costs around 50-60 pesos or $3. The squeezed as you watch orange juice is 20 and brings the price up a bit but worth it. Nothing in the States I've ever had compares to this not even close plus it'll cost 7-10 smacks. I don't know what I'm going to eat when I return. It will be an adjustment as I do this so much that is go into Puerto Vallarta on the south side and have me a excellent lunch with "real" Mexican food not the slop I get back there. I do not plan on eating out much at all only at maybe three select places. Pricey yes but worth it because it's so good. I threw away so much money last summer eating way overpriced shitty food. Several times the food got thrown away as well. The whole of Mexico is an eating machine I tell you. I'm gonna miss this.

I feel good and and think the higher temps and humidity contributes to that. It's the same every time. After a month or two you realize and say " Hey I feel pretty damn good!"

Just as important I believe the food made fresh with wholesome fresh ingredients as well contributes to that. Get off the bus in town the food smells everywhere make me hungry just like that.

Prop 8 Ruling

My money says Judge Walker will take plenty of heat for his recent ruling on gay marriage. But I love this guy for a couple of his statements that I read.

Found it violated the Constitution's due process and equal protection clauses while failing "to advance any rational basis in singling out gay men and lesbians for denial of a marriage license." "Indeed, the evidence shows Proposition 8 does nothing more than enshrine in the California Constitution the notion that opposite-sex couples are superior to same-sex couples," the judge wrote in his 136-page ruling.

Well no shit! About time someone on the bench framed it like it really is. Then he kicks all different kinds of nutter logic with this.

He also said proponents offered little evidence that they were motivated by anything other than animus toward gays — beginning with their campaign to pass the ban, which included claims of wanting to protect children from learning about same-sex marriage in school.
"Proposition 8 played on the a fear that exposure to homosexuality would turn children into homosexuals and that parents should dread having children who are not heterosexual," Walker wrote.

Thank you Judge Walker and keep your back to the wall.

  1. The homophobes [most are closet gays] will come out hard and fast against this ruling.

Your last sentence about the Judge keeping his back to the wall is more real than most know. I would not be surprised if he will need some sort protection. Of course I agree with his decision.

  3. I heard on the news that he is gay himself and that is how the homophobes are gonna attack him--for being biased.

  4. I put nothing past these people. It's like a bad movie out there in that there are zombie like people in society. Literally all fucked up in the head and still are able to function.

  5. Business as usual, if you can't argue the facts, assassinate the other side's character.
This judge was appointed by Reagan, and Bush Sr. 2/3 of all federal judges were appointed by Republican judges, and still they say there's a liberal bias. I think it's a legal bias against all the assholes that want to force everyone to believe only like them.

  6. Did you see the shredding of the witnesses on Rachel Maddow's show? It's on my site and fucking hilarious.
