This is Bistek al la Mexicana a common dish found many places. There are several places I get this some better than others but all real decent! Kind of a tomato based sauce with generally pretty tender pieces of beef and a fair amount of it. The rice is pretty generic but the frijoles can be something else. This also includes as many fresh made in front of you tortillas you want and brought to you with a smile. Something like this costs around 50-60 pesos or $3. The squeezed as you watch orange juice is 20 and brings the price up a bit but worth it. Nothing in the States I've ever had compares to this not even close plus it'll cost 7-10 smacks. I don't know what I'm going to eat when I return. It will be an adjustment as I do this so much that is go into Puerto Vallarta on the south side and have me a excellent lunch with "real" Mexican food not the slop I get back there. I do not plan on eating out much at all only at maybe three select places. Pricey yes but worth it because it's so good. I threw away so much money last summer eating way overpriced shitty food. Several times the food got thrown away as well. The whole of Mexico is an eating machine I tell you. I'm gonna miss this.

I feel good and and think the higher temps and humidity contributes to that. It's the same every time. After a month or two you realize and say " Hey I feel pretty damn good!"

Just as important I believe the food made fresh with wholesome fresh ingredients as well contributes to that. Get off the bus in town the food smells everywhere make me hungry just like that.

Bush & Bama One in the Same

Put the chimps name in here instead of bama's and what do you have. The identical thing. This is so sick and we are so screwed and if anyone can't see that it's a shame. I have no respect for this man any more. Another war loving corporate ass kissing repug enabler is what we have. Peace Prize winner - what a goddamn hypocrite. It's embarrassing as an American for him to continue to claim that prize.

Defying congressional criticism, the White House insisted Wednesday that President Barack Obama has the authority to continue U.S. military action in Libya even without authorization from lawmakers on Capitol Hill.

  4. No comfort there Mont because if he were to make any decisions they would favor his corporate masters just like he's supposed to do.

Dragonfly's are my favorite it seems. They can be very hard to get close to. This one was very cooperative and let me very close and that's why they're big. I did zoom in just a tiny bit to eliminate some of the bad. Others were so good but I failed in getting him in the frame all the way. It was about two in the afternoon when I got that and I'm going back again to try to do better.

Last weekend spent an hour and a half on dragonfly's and didn't get a decent picture. It's so hard getting them in focus. This camera (Pentax W60) and the other Pentax I had do incredible macros.

It's fun! I was surprised at this picture myself.

  7. This might actually be worse than Bush's behavior, at least in some sense. Bush at least made a pretense of asking Congress if he could do whatever he wanted to do for a while. Obama seems to just be saying he doesn't feel the need.

  9. Good stuff everybody. Thanks for bringing that up Cujo and I think you are right on with that RZ.

I hardly pay attention and it sickens me to see where our tax dollars go and those who are supposed to speak for me enable it.

I despise the dims as much as the pugs it seems.

I hate to always be the sad news guy but men it just is not going to change for the better. Just not going to happen. The dark side has won.

How come we never heard anything bout that closed door testimony Rover gave about the judge purge. They'll tell us after Harriet shows up.
