This is Bistek al la Mexicana a common dish found many places. There are several places I get this some better than others but all real decent! Kind of a tomato based sauce with generally pretty tender pieces of beef and a fair amount of it. The rice is pretty generic but the frijoles can be something else. This also includes as many fresh made in front of you tortillas you want and brought to you with a smile. Something like this costs around 50-60 pesos or $3. The squeezed as you watch orange juice is 20 and brings the price up a bit but worth it. Nothing in the States I've ever had compares to this not even close plus it'll cost 7-10 smacks. I don't know what I'm going to eat when I return. It will be an adjustment as I do this so much that is go into Puerto Vallarta on the south side and have me a excellent lunch with "real" Mexican food not the slop I get back there. I do not plan on eating out much at all only at maybe three select places. Pricey yes but worth it because it's so good. I threw away so much money last summer eating way overpriced shitty food. Several times the food got thrown away as well. The whole of Mexico is an eating machine I tell you. I'm gonna miss this.

I feel good and and think the higher temps and humidity contributes to that. It's the same every time. After a month or two you realize and say " Hey I feel pretty damn good!"

Just as important I believe the food made fresh with wholesome fresh ingredients as well contributes to that. Get off the bus in town the food smells everywhere make me hungry just like that.

3-6 Is Not Enough

That's years for assisting in the coverup of pedophile priests. Take  statues down in parishes raper priests did their deeds to remind all  that their leader of the pack Benny the Rat still allows this to go on.

That by not demanding Benny make the changes needed they themselves condone what still goes on with these men dressed in black robes.

I have never heard a person who calls themselves catholic express outrage at these ongoing crimes against children.

There is no being nice in any way when it comes to this issue.

  1. It amazes me that people hold on to a way of viewing life even when all the evidence points to the need for radical change. We need more people willing to openly call it what it is.

Love the pic of you. Little boys with curled toes.... Is that your dad holding you?

  2. They are few as you point out who do so. I just believe as in this case given the dark depraved behavior that goes on with these men be addressed by the rank and file. They demand nothing and accept the continued leadership of the very men that do this and allow it to this day. Depravity at this level deserves but disrespect at the highest level. It's similar to treasonous lies for war by a few in that the severity of the crime does not get much worse and can never be a given a pass - never!

All of us were cute at some time or another. Some maybe still are. EEEE! Yes that is my Dad. He had a good smile. Thanks TE.

  3. That is the cutest little boy... :>
First of all, I am a recovering Catholic... :<
I believe there should be swift and severe punishment for any and all predators. Early release...ha! no way... This applies to anyone and "special" punishment for those in trusted positions and that means priests, ministers, scout leaders, teachers, etc.
As for those that "protect/ignore" this depraved behavior, they too need severe punishment. I don't care if they've done "good" all their life, but chose to ignore an incident...don't care... 3 to 6 is not enough if they ignored a single sign or a single incident!!!

    1. Sorry TMoon. I just think what they do to children in that respect is a crime as well. We as a country are not that much different than the Believers over ther we despise sooo much.
