I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

Another Racket

Have never received a bill that looked like this with all kinds of other shit tacked on except for a phone bill and that's been years ago now. What gets me is the 15 bucks for reading the goddamn meter.

I'll read those meters for for five bucks a crack all day long and save everyone $10 a month and laugh all the way to the bank. I call this a screwing.

    Fifteen bucks is certainly excessive - what day of the month is the meter normally read? Could this be a charge for reading the meter on a non-scheduled day?
    If they charge that much every month, the city has a money machine for damn sure!

    Not sure. Service started on the firsr for me so I guess they read on the 10th according to this.

    My utility only reads every other month. On the off month they make a scientific wild-assed guess, usually on the high side. One time they were so far off, I received a credit for the actual reading.

    They do actually read this. I think it may be a bit chilly and expensive. Ready to put in a pellet stove at any time.
