This is Bistek al la Mexicana a common dish found many places. There are several places I get this some better than others but all real decent! Kind of a tomato based sauce with generally pretty tender pieces of beef and a fair amount of it. The rice is pretty generic but the frijoles can be something else. This also includes as many fresh made in front of you tortillas you want and brought to you with a smile. Something like this costs around 50-60 pesos or $3. The squeezed as you watch orange juice is 20 and brings the price up a bit but worth it. Nothing in the States I've ever had compares to this not even close plus it'll cost 7-10 smacks. I don't know what I'm going to eat when I return. It will be an adjustment as I do this so much that is go into Puerto Vallarta on the south side and have me a excellent lunch with "real" Mexican food not the slop I get back there. I do not plan on eating out much at all only at maybe three select places. Pricey yes but worth it because it's so good. I threw away so much money last summer eating way overpriced shitty food. Several times the food got thrown away as well. The whole of Mexico is an eating machine I tell you. I'm gonna miss this.

I feel good and and think the higher temps and humidity contributes to that. It's the same every time. After a month or two you realize and say " Hey I feel pretty damn good!"

Just as important I believe the food made fresh with wholesome fresh ingredients as well contributes to that. Get off the bus in town the food smells everywhere make me hungry just like that.

It's Not The Same Nor Will It Be Remembered As Such

Today is the 65th anniversary of D-Day. The EB Misfit has this covered quite nicely.

Australian Jack Ross passed away this week at the tender age of 110 bearing the distinction of being the last Aussie who served in WWI. Now that's getting to be a really long time ago.

Well lookey here. Insurgent use of roadside bombs in Afghanistan has surged 80 percent this year. Imagine that. Those damn insurgents again-who would have thunk.

Four of ours killed in Irak this month and 70 for the year in Afghannystan.

In the future whenever that may be-65 years after this country has finished whatever the fuck it is doing in these country's the media will not be keeping track like they have D-Day. Not going to happen.

Myself and this site has been one of the biggest supporters of our troops pass all. We have done better than almost every nutter who claims the same. We adamantly supported them not going to Iraq and we are equally supportive of bringing them home from there and Afghanistan.

Bottom line is that 65 years after we leave these places nobody is going to remember or give a shit about it like they have for 65 years with D-Day. And that's not being disrespectful it's just stating the obvious.

You sonsofbitches that have done this to my country and to these troops for your fucking lies and neo-killer agenda do need to swing just like your buddy Saddam did.

If only that could be it would be a great day for this country.

  1. You know who should be honored also for their service in WWII?

9 million Russian soldiers and 18 million Russians civilians who died during the war.

Roosevelt and Churchill strung Stalin along for 2 effing years while he did the heavy lifting and took the heavy losses.

Now all the glory for shit they promised Stalin they would do 2 years before?

I wish this was available to watch online.

I'm not saying that Stalin was any prize, I'm only saying that the suffering of the Russian people should be acknowledged in the West. Especially since the capitalism perpetrated on them by the "Chicago Boys" has also been devastating.
Have you read the Shock Doctrine? There is a Russian chapter in there.

  2. Nunya-thanks so much for that! There was like 3 million killed in the first couple weeks when Hitler invaded.

And the monkey's here get all riled up when Russia gets testy about arms and troops being played with or moved closer or whatever in "their" neighborhood.

We don't have a fucking clue what real struggle is like.
