This is Bistek al la Mexicana a common dish found many places. There are several places I get this some better than others but all real decent! Kind of a tomato based sauce with generally pretty tender pieces of beef and a fair amount of it. The rice is pretty generic but the frijoles can be something else. This also includes as many fresh made in front of you tortillas you want and brought to you with a smile. Something like this costs around 50-60 pesos or $3. The squeezed as you watch orange juice is 20 and brings the price up a bit but worth it. Nothing in the States I've ever had compares to this not even close plus it'll cost 7-10 smacks. I don't know what I'm going to eat when I return. It will be an adjustment as I do this so much that is go into Puerto Vallarta on the south side and have me a excellent lunch with "real" Mexican food not the slop I get back there. I do not plan on eating out much at all only at maybe three select places. Pricey yes but worth it because it's so good. I threw away so much money last summer eating way overpriced shitty food. Several times the food got thrown away as well. The whole of Mexico is an eating machine I tell you. I'm gonna miss this.

I feel good and and think the higher temps and humidity contributes to that. It's the same every time. After a month or two you realize and say " Hey I feel pretty damn good!"

Just as important I believe the food made fresh with wholesome fresh ingredients as well contributes to that. Get off the bus in town the food smells everywhere make me hungry just like that.

Another Ploy To Get Religion In Schools

Well here we go again this time straight out of Northwest Iowa using "religious liberties" as the scam language of the new policy these crazies want instituted.

Public school students in Spencer will get to study the Bible and pray at graduation if school district leaders approve a proposed "religious liberties" policy, the first of its kind in Iowa.

Reading this piece was difficult for me because it seems these religiously insane people and in this case there is one of them sitting on the board never stop and if we are not ever vigilant they're going to accomplish this.

Locally crazies tried to pass an amendment to the state Constitution that defined a fertilized egg is a person with all the rights of a living human being. It was soundly defeated but they too are coming back in 2010 with the exact same agenda using different language in an attempt to make our populace even fucking dumber than it is now.

  1. Then taken to their logical conclusion the liquid that males and females hold in their ????? is a potential person and should be protected by law.

Dovetails with those that believe the thoughts of criminal actions should be deemed a potential crime and dealt with.

Preemptive actions provide a uncertain ability to be correct and legal.

  2. The same people who hate abortion and love the fetus are usually the same people who refuse to pay the 120K it takes to properly raise a child to adulthood. As Woody Gutherie said during the Great Depression "Everyone wants to go to heaven, no one wants to die. Everyone wants the answers without having to ask why." In America the answer always seems to be money and a poor mother is just as aware of this as a rich one. Let each woman decide for herself based on her personal circumstances. An unwanted child is the unluckiest and loneliest thing in the world.
