I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

You bastards!

A Supreme Idiot

This "swinging bridge" over the Green River in far NW Colorado very close to Utah is VERY cool. There can't be too many like this left.

It's not so special right now because of someone who thinks he's entitled to do what he wants.

DeRose said she couldn't understand why someone would try to drive the tractor across the bridge since the structure was posted as only being able to hold three tons and the tractor would be significantly heavier than that. “We are making the owner remove it. We have people on site, but we are not going to be removing it ourselves,” said Linda DeRose, manager of the Moffat County Road and Bridge Department. “We are making the owner remove it. We have people on site, but we are not going to be removing it ourselves,” said Linda DeRose, manager of the Moffat County Road and Bridge Department.

The asshole who did this is rancher T. Wright Dickinson — a former Moffat County commissioner and this guy is correct to say this wheel of nowhere felt he can do as he pleases.

This will not be an easy removal or repair. Chances were good I was going to cross this in a couple weeks or so.

So T. Wright Dickhead needs his ass kicked severely back and forth across this bridge at least a dozen times with the public being allowed to watch.

Not far from here is where Tom Horn did his killing if that means anything.

  2. Entitlement is a BIG word TMoon. He's done it before you can bet on it. looking at my pictures it stated a six ton limit but in the article it's three. This thing is getting old.

  3. Glad yer back .... Beautiful shot of the before. You KNOW that's not the first time T. Wright's had that tractor on that bridge. He better have deep pockets 'cause, as you said, looks like it'll be a lengthy and costly fix. The whole attitude of 'MINE" some folks have is inconceivable. Dunno the real Tom Horn story, but I'm a big fan of the movie and SM. Even with the abrupt ending.
Down here we have what they call a 'He needed killin'' defense and my understanding is that Mr. Horn, as a Stock Detective, took that to heart with rustlers and ne'er do wells.
Maybe all the lost dinero and negative publicity will help Mr. Dickinson's 'Mine' attitude, and HEY! I'd make him repair it back to the proper load limit, too!

    1. Thanks bj. I bet he was crossing that bridge regularly when the limit was six ton. What is SM? You can learn some about the area and tom Horn HERE not that I'm an expert. This is the area where he operated and killed.

  4. The article I read in the Craig Daily Press said the tractor belonged to T. Wright Dickenson, but a ranch hand was the one who drove it over the bridge. It also went on to say that Dickenson is responsible for fixing the bridge.

Maybe the paper was protecting T. Wright ?!?!?

  7. Just happened along this blog by accident and felt drawn to do the right thing regardless of what I may get told. But I admire the Wright family when I met them about 20 years ago. Wish more people were like them. I doubt many who look at the picture could really provide fair comment since most people are ignorant to what life on a ranch entails. I live in Alaska and I doubt outsiders who see images of Alaska have a good basis to cast scathing judgements. But calling someone a Supreme Idiot, or worse, based on this picture is not the way people should treat other people. You should be ashamed of yourself but you probably are the type that feels entitled to do what you want. Scott Hahn
