This is Bistek al la Mexicana a common dish found many places. There are several places I get this some better than others but all real decent! Kind of a tomato based sauce with generally pretty tender pieces of beef and a fair amount of it. The rice is pretty generic but the frijoles can be something else. This also includes as many fresh made in front of you tortillas you want and brought to you with a smile. Something like this costs around 50-60 pesos or $3. The squeezed as you watch orange juice is 20 and brings the price up a bit but worth it. Nothing in the States I've ever had compares to this not even close plus it'll cost 7-10 smacks. I don't know what I'm going to eat when I return. It will be an adjustment as I do this so much that is go into Puerto Vallarta on the south side and have me a excellent lunch with "real" Mexican food not the slop I get back there. I do not plan on eating out much at all only at maybe three select places. Pricey yes but worth it because it's so good. I threw away so much money last summer eating way overpriced shitty food. Several times the food got thrown away as well. The whole of Mexico is an eating machine I tell you. I'm gonna miss this.

I feel good and and think the higher temps and humidity contributes to that. It's the same every time. After a month or two you realize and say " Hey I feel pretty damn good!"

Just as important I believe the food made fresh with wholesome fresh ingredients as well contributes to that. Get off the bus in town the food smells everywhere make me hungry just like that.

Quit Your Damn Bitching Already Generals

As the U.S. readies the pullout of its major combat units from Iraq, officials are concerned that the Pentagon’s Green Berets and other elite anti-terror warriors staying behind won’t have the helicopters, equipment and other logistical support they need.

Let's make it clear here that OTC has been one of the biggest supporters of our troops more so than the chicken hawks who sent them to to the front. Adamantly supported them not going and continue to support bringing them home.

This is what they don't want to miss out on after we supposedly leave Irak-

U.S. special operations forces perform small-scale raids, long-range reconnaissance and other secretive operations in search of al-Qaida and other terrorist suspects. They also have worked quietly with Iraqi tribal leaders to undermine the insurgency.

They got every goddamn thing they've wanted and more for seven fucking years and they want to continue the same. Sure hasn't stopped the killing of at least 52 this morning in Baghdad or these other incidents in Iraq today.

Sticky bomb attack injures 2 civilians in al-Allawi, central Baghdad.

Two Sahwa fighters injured by IED in al-Ghazaliya, western Baghdad.

Muqdadiya
Four people injured by bomb attack on a house.
Mosul
Body found of strangled 9 year old girl.
Khalis
Mass graves found containing 25 bodies.

The 140k troops stay at that level till the end of the year with 50k staying for how fucking long-years probably.

There are times I wish the economy would get so bad that this country could not afford the level of military around the world and there would be no choice but to stop our aggression in these places.

Our involvement in this country's three war fronts is not making us safer. We need these funds here right now forever unless there is a real threat to the survival of the United States

  1. Amen dude...you hit all the points. I am sick of hearing how great it's going there when anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows it ain't.

I want all our people home...NOW!

  2. You remember, Bush proposed years ago to leave a permanent Korea style force there for years. Obama is giving him that with 50k troops! As I sad numerous times that will be Custer's last stand Iraqi style.

If they had half a brain over there whoever is doing this would cool it until we leave and are committed to the growing hell in Afghanistan Then start killing each other!
