This is Bistek al la Mexicana a common dish found many places. There are several places I get this some better than others but all real decent! Kind of a tomato based sauce with generally pretty tender pieces of beef and a fair amount of it. The rice is pretty generic but the frijoles can be something else. This also includes as many fresh made in front of you tortillas you want and brought to you with a smile. Something like this costs around 50-60 pesos or $3. The squeezed as you watch orange juice is 20 and brings the price up a bit but worth it. Nothing in the States I've ever had compares to this not even close plus it'll cost 7-10 smacks. I don't know what I'm going to eat when I return. It will be an adjustment as I do this so much that is go into Puerto Vallarta on the south side and have me a excellent lunch with "real" Mexican food not the slop I get back there. I do not plan on eating out much at all only at maybe three select places. Pricey yes but worth it because it's so good. I threw away so much money last summer eating way overpriced shitty food. Several times the food got thrown away as well. The whole of Mexico is an eating machine I tell you. I'm gonna miss this.

I feel good and and think the higher temps and humidity contributes to that. It's the same every time. After a month or two you realize and say " Hey I feel pretty damn good!"

Just as important I believe the food made fresh with wholesome fresh ingredients as well contributes to that. Get off the bus in town the food smells everywhere make me hungry just like that.

bama Over Barrel Huh?

Imagine this and a huge no shit Cisco! This man put himself over it and why not he is a 1%'er. If he had fought along the way the last three years instead of compitulating even without a fight at times it would be a different story.

We ratcheted up the shit on Iran once again. The 1% want $5 gas. The results will be devastating to the middle class and to bama's chances for reelection. What else was it going to be. There should be no surprise here.

Why can't anyone get it. More of the same coming down the tube and "our side" laughs once again at the right because they are so fucking smart and the candidates well they're just not electable and this is less than two years ago where enough baggers were elected to the house to control the agenda and they were laughing long and hard then as well.

That's real fucking funny ain't it!

  1. Not a word that supply is currently outstripping demand and Big Oil is shipping as much product as it can overseas to keep the price up. I assume you are already aware of the function of rampant speculation on crude prices.

  2. Our Gasoline consumption is down to the levels of the late 90's.
We are a net EXporter of gasoline.
All this with not one refinery built in decades.
    Yes Montag is spot on.
    More speculation at it's finest.
Goldman Sachs and the global Banksters are laughing all the way to our grave.
Commodity speculation should be against the law.
The fuckers do the same thing with food.
Which causes the starvation of millions each year.
If Iran gets hit by Israel/Us the world will not be the same.
Expect 8$ a gal. over night.

O is the luckiest incumbent president ever to have such bafoons to run against.
Then again the rethugs do not need to win the presidency. They already have O. The presidential race is a head fake.
The ones they really want are the house and the senate.

  3. Expect anything these next few months. The right may want it all right now. Most of the cards are in place for that to happen. It's overdue that this country get on with the real way things are supposed to be.

  4. President Obama will be called to explain why he rejected the Keystone XL oil from Alberta, Canada at a time gas prices in Southern California average $4.09 to $4.29 a gallon in February.

Canada is now planning to sell this oil to China.

Meanwhile, U.S. drivers are driving smaller cars and using less gas. Yet, prices continue to rise. Each time there's an utterance from Team Obama about war with Iran, gas prices leap another .30 cents a gallon.
