This is Bistek al la Mexicana a common dish found many places. There are several places I get this some better than others but all real decent! Kind of a tomato based sauce with generally pretty tender pieces of beef and a fair amount of it. The rice is pretty generic but the frijoles can be something else. This also includes as many fresh made in front of you tortillas you want and brought to you with a smile. Something like this costs around 50-60 pesos or $3. The squeezed as you watch orange juice is 20 and brings the price up a bit but worth it. Nothing in the States I've ever had compares to this not even close plus it'll cost 7-10 smacks. I don't know what I'm going to eat when I return. It will be an adjustment as I do this so much that is go into Puerto Vallarta on the south side and have me a excellent lunch with "real" Mexican food not the slop I get back there. I do not plan on eating out much at all only at maybe three select places. Pricey yes but worth it because it's so good. I threw away so much money last summer eating way overpriced shitty food. Several times the food got thrown away as well. The whole of Mexico is an eating machine I tell you. I'm gonna miss this.

I feel good and and think the higher temps and humidity contributes to that. It's the same every time. After a month or two you realize and say " Hey I feel pretty damn good!"

Just as important I believe the food made fresh with wholesome fresh ingredients as well contributes to that. Get off the bus in town the food smells everywhere make me hungry just like that.

Cornfield People Are Incredibly Stupid/Brainwashed

This poll from this fishwrapper which doesn't mean a hell of a lot but you get the idea.

Is a significant part of federal spending wasteful?
Yes
96%
No
1%
Undecided
3%

Senator Slug was out stirring up the dummies and they were pissed but love the horses ass that was kissing theirs. Some quotes-

"The president of the United States, that's who you should be concerned about. Because he's acting like a little Hitler," said Tom Eisenhower, a World War II veteran. "I'd take a gun to Washington if enough of you would go with me."

Grassley seemed to elicit approval from the crowd on a number of key issues.

"I'm not going to vote for any bill I'm not going to read," said the senawhore.

He also stated repeatedly he was not for a public option, as he said it does not allow a choice for the consumer.

"Grassley is pretty much, how would you say, one of us," he said. "If it had been Harkin this might have been a bit more vocal."

Two equally disgusting pieces here and here.

This is just one area in the corn belt and the title to the article was that "Tempers flared". The places were all filled with the same thinking people so why the need to get all pissed off? It's like this all over the country for the most part.

This is more than being stupid-it's more than being propagandized-this is brainwashing no more no less. We are truly in a world of shit!

  1. One problem, of course, is the shitty way the question is phrased.

What is 'significant?' I took stats, a couple of times a long time ago, and I have a plausible interpretation of the meaning of the word.

But the Joe Cornhole, significant = noticeable.

And there is "noticeable" fraudulent, graft-like, corrupt waste and misuse of government funds.

But mainly, it's a bullshit poll. Fuggedabodit!

  2. Trying to overcome 50 years of nat'l propaganda and lies, done to protect nat'l business interests after WWII, is the most daunting task on could attempt. It is so much easier to pick up a flag and wave it. Your neighbors will applaud your misguided patriotism and your lack of intellectual curiosity, the boys and girls down at your favorite watering hole will toast your old saws as if Ben Franklin has appropriated you head, the local business leaders will slap you on the back rewarding your ignorance of reality. There will be many more blessings bestowed on you personally as you wallow, like a hog in your own mud and shit, in ignorance and self-delusion. Hell, you might even become a Senator or even better, Rush Limbaugh.

  4. Couldn't be worse than the doof rep that sent me a tough on crime email update. Gah. The federal mandate says keep 'em in jail even if the state is broke. Most of 'em are in jail for petty amts of drugs. Damned "War on Drugs." Stupid ass rethugs will never figure out just how ridiculously debt inducing their policies are.

  5. They wear their ignorance like a badge of honor, with great pride.

  6. The way things are going: Obama reappointing Bernanke, a Repug, to the Federal Reserve the last loops of the hanging rope for reformers and progressives is almost ready. I'm not really surprised Obama caved in to the money boys on Wall Street but am amazed he did so this quickly. He must really want to be Student Council President for the class of 2008. Too bad we voted him President when we just could have appointed him Mr. Congeniality and he'd of been so proud of himself. Oh well, live and learn. Or with our health care system you could say die and learn to late.

  7. Tom it is getting worse and worse. I just heard a Repug Senator say people should bring their guns to town halls. Those bastards will instigate something big and then blame it on President Obama. Those Bastards they will get their 2nd revolution but it will not be what they think.

  8. Once again I lost a very long response to all of you who took the time to write. Thanks for that!! and to all the rest of you who took the time to come over.

My friend the day we went over to see the nutters in Junction said just what's been on mind for some time. That he doesn't want anything to really do with people like this or something to that effect. Me too!! I don't think I want to go back there this fall. What the hell can I say. It's not just there but all over. Like a bunch of zombies on meth-they don't shut up. Something's very wrong here.

I'll give all those people a break here on their support for invading Iraq because of how the fear factor was played. Not with this. Medicare and Medicaid are government programs it's just that simple. Big whore media has got them believing the opposite. Look the fuck out my friends!
