Corporate Whores Meeting Less

The storm buffeting the U.S. economy threatens to swamp the $175 billion corporate meetings industry. Instead of lobster, they might serve chicken.

I have sat in on a few meetings similar to these and it's been my opinion these are used to justify their positions but that's just me. The downside of course is the service side takes a hit. These things are such an extravagance common sense says they should have never reached this level of excess. Another example of the privileged feeling they deserve more than the rest of us.
