Denver — The E.W. Scripps Co. today announced that it is putting the Rocky Mountain News up for sale. The move comes as newspapers across the country are reeling from the worst advertising market in generations. Nationally, third-quarter newspaper advertising revenues plummeted 18 percent.
This was actually a half ass decent paper with a rich history. As like a lot of things these days no one is going to buy.

The same company tanked our evening paper last year. They tried to keep it going as an on-line paper, but that didn't work out.
