I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

You bastards!

Better Than Yesterday

It had to have snowed 10" anyway. Friday was a lost day. It was 27* this morning and 45 now and might go a bit higher. It's actually pretty nice out and the sun was not expected. I just took these not too long ago.

This is a creek called Fish. What this is going to look like in a short time is going to amaze you.

This is maybe 3miles away at the most from where I live. Last year there were at least a thousand Sandhill cranes here in the same field for just one day but far away. You see them a lot but not anywhere in the numbers like in Nebraska.

This is one spot where record numbers were set and I have to continue to remind. It's all still up there.

What happens when you get too much snow on a roof and don't get it off.

  1. Those sandhill cranes would be a wonderful sight. The first time I heard one and saw it poke its head up in a field, I thought I was in The Land That Time Forgot, that a pair of pterodactyls had landed in my field. Sounds like the snowmelt could make life interesting for awhile....

  2. We had a lot of snow in MA over the winter, and quite a few roofs collapsed.

  4. Hey guys the sun is out today. It was 21*.

I accidentally walked up on one of these birds and it scared the hell out of me. They kind of look out of place here.

I wonder what's coming next winter.

TM there are a lot of creeks like this out here. Just wait this is really going to be something to see when things get raging like never before probably.

It seems a bit odd that soon it will all be different around these waterways but it's coming for sure.

I'm going for a cruise to the west and look around. It will be on roads traveled before but you always see a couple things that are unusual.
