After being away for well over a week I say in jest at times that there is a readjustment that needs to happen but the truth is that it's true and particularly this time.
After spending a few days where another culture lived for centuries walking where they walked seeing the same things they did and visiting what were their homes you cannot come away without feeling humbled about the whole thing.
During the last week there has been no politics or news of any kind heard or seen except for just a bit of local stuff yesterday. I mean nothing and I kinda like that and we're going to keep it like that for awhile anyway.
This blog over the several years of posting has gone through several changes and this may be another. I'm tired of the bullshit, lies and nonsense coming everyday with even more outrageous idiots being given credibility where there is none.
I could go on and on and will not. So when you don't see me come around it's nothing personal and I very much respect those I link to and what they have have to say. This is the time of year that I need to focus on what's at hand anyway with my job and the need to prepare to move in the fall. I have a couple ideas of a post or two and just have to see where this goes if anywhere. Right now I prefer to be unaware for awhile except for - - -
The one thing for sure is and if you have ever trampled around in the bowels of nowhere where many passed before you understand once more that in the big scheme of things we are all nothing but piss ants in time and I'm okay with that.
I want to go back to the desert now. The sun will not be seen all week here. Thanks for taking the time to read this!
Sometimes, it's just best to let the world of political shenanigans go and witness it without emotional involvement, keeping our thoughts and feelings for those things that truly reflect our own lives. Like canyons, and mountains, and friendship.
ReplyDeleteO F Hey you no I take time off when I need it. Many of us have a heightened awareness and are attuned to social injustice. You have such beauty all around you. I suspect it's very nourishing to the soul.
ReplyDeleteI just play guitar...lol
Be well...
Don't know how long this will go. It's easy to get suckered into the samo. Netflix is the best $8 deal around.
ReplyDeleteDo me a favor you two - - if there is something I really need to know. Please tell me. Thanks in advance.
OF, good to hear you are back, glad you had a little cleansing of the psyche. As for the politicos, they are all in it for the power ie..MONEY no matter what the affiliation and do not give a shit about you or me. Never have.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the seperation/isolation I do. Tim in KC
YO TIM - it's true. Thanks!

and One Fly I'm with you on the politics stuff, why complain. I'm gonna enjoy the ride and stop parsing and worrying about DC and Albany and Montpelier.
Gotta go now and look at a new Kayak.
I also would like advice on a digital camera as someone stole my camera out of my car along with a small peanut can in the console for my change. Can I deduct the value on my tax return next year for supporting the local drug trade? I know there was $6,000.00 in nickles, dimes and quarters in the can. Had very few pennies.
That's so good Russ. He didn't even stretch a truth even a little bit. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWith apologies to George C. Scott in Doctor Strangelove, "I sure wish I had ME one of them caves to live in."
ReplyDeleteGreat pic. Love that ruin.
Thanks for sharing it amigo.
Thanks for that Jules. If a few people see a bit of merit in this stuff then it's worth the effort.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun damn it!
