Move Along Charlie
Chuck Rangel has been on the hill for 34 years. I don't give a shit if he's the Queen of Egypt. An investigation has found him lacking when it comes to doing the right thing when you're an elected official.

The Spirit Lived Or What?
When I was four or five I got caught stealing pop bottles for the three cent deposit to buy candy. I lied the best I knew how but it didn't work.
I snuck out of the house late one summer night when the rest of the family was asleep just to see what was going on. My mom was on to that fairly quickly and caught me riding my bike at about two in the morning. I lied and told her I was troubled and was at church praying. It worked but without question it was a one-shot deal.
I lied like a rug sitting in the front of the judge at 11 o'clock at night explaining to him that I wasn't drunk and didn't need to spend the night in jail even though I was seeing at least two of him. It worked.
Those lying days are long since over and it's all part of growing up I guess because I just don't do it anymore and because of that it causes complications and I actually should lie a bit more and I would be better off probably but that's not what we're here for. I want to tell the story about an interaction with something that I don't know what exactly it was but here we go. The pictures are for reference only and are very poor and are meant to show the place that it happened.
Where I lived when I first arrived in Ghana West Africa was a town called Juapong but on the old maps it was spelled Jompong. These bungalows were built to house the workers for the textile mills run by the Chinese. I and another Peace Corps volunteer just happened to be housed in one one of these.
I include this picture to illustrate there was a gate and a open area behind the house where there was another row of bungalows. I lived in this place for about six months. The material/rift raft that was between these buildings was unlike anything I had seen in my lifetime and that includes up till now. It was the most ungodly pieces of rock I've ever seen. I only went back there a couple times and that was only a foot or so behind the gate that you see. You just couldn't walk on this stuff. Nobody went back there and the only thing seen would be a few goats and a chicken now and then.
On a very hot completely still humid night just couldn't get to sleep. I was the only one home and when people go to sleep even though there are quite a few around it can be very quiet as it was this night. My bed was in the corner next to a wall and there was a window above high in the corner on the other side of the room for ventilation purposes only. That window and where my head pointed were on the same wall.
In any case couldn't get to sleep you know it's just one of those things. I start hearing something and it was like I say it was very still. Not very often but faint and it kind of sounded like breathing. So what I'm hearing gets a little bit louder definitely sounds like breathing and it seems to be coming from outside. So this sound continues to get a bit louder and it is breathing without question. And it is coming from outside and it is coming from the direction of that window that's in the corner at least that what it seems like.
So by now I'm starting to think because after all I was awake and this seemed to be a bit odd. And not to get old but it got louder and became faster and I'm thinking what the hell is going on here. I'm thinking real hard, I mean real hard because I know for a fact without question not a doubt in my mind that something or someone could not be moving around outside getting closer without making noises maneuvering or attempting to maneuver in the dark over these killer stones. You must know when it gets dead still at times how well noises can be heard and this was one of those times.
So to wind this up here with the time frame right at 15 minutes overall the breathing is getting really loud- faster and deeper and it sounds like whatever it maybe is right up there in that window not too far away. By now I'm a bit worried/scared and I'm just laying there going eeeeeeee. This was very intense I tell you. So I'm laying there and all the sudden I am pushed up from underneath the bed approximately in the middle of my back and raised up at least five or 6 inches quickly but not leaving the mattress. It was a quick up and then down.
Wow and I mean double wow! It was a sense of relief and the noise that sounded like breathing stopped just like that and it became very quiet once again.
I do not have a clue what happened and over the years really have not told the story that many times. It just happened and had no profound effects on me at least from what I can tell anyway. It just happened what the hell!
I took this picture a bit later a few miles away where I lived for about six months in a old cocoa plantation house on the Volta River. Whatever this is in the picture one thing is for certain when seen with the naked eye and not with a picture of a picture that is over 30 years old that it wasn't right and has absolutely nothing to do with the previous story.
A story told to me by a Ghanaian man educated with a doctorate in education about his father who was supposed to be dead but would not die. The details have been mostly forgotten about the specifics but I do remember that when a ceremony by the local Asafo Company was performed his father passed on. I just happen to trust and believe what this person told me and it's worth no more than that.
I did this because a reader hinted at me twice about wanting to hear stories from Africa. I don't have a lot of them but this definitely is one of them and I'm glad to do this. Another I want to do is on the Krobo's. For all I know they may have had a hand in all this. These guys are some nasty bastards indeed! For instance the poor fellow who couldn't get a lorry out of Kpong back to his village and it was getting dark. A local chief had just died and heads were being taken. This man was scared.

Call Me Whatever But
I have a problem with this kind of action by those who carry the guns.
1:54 a.m. ////////// Police Department officers were called to a report of a drunken pedestrian in the 3600 block of Lincoln Avenue. A man apparently was intoxicated and passed out on the porch of a woman’s cabin. Police talked to the man and gave him a courtesy ride to his home on Morgan Court.

The pedestrian reportedly vomited when officers attempted to take him to detox, so he was instead taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center. At about 4:30 a.m., officers drove the man to his home on Merritt Street.
Don't give a shit this is wrong to enable behavior like this that happens on a daily basis some days worse than others.
I say this because a year ago a decorated soldier died on main street and alcohol was part of it.
There is a 17 year old girl in a coma with alcohol involved.
Could go on and on and it's disgusting given this is a town of 10,000.

Pioneer Hi-Bred will follow archrival Monsanto Co. in offering biotech seeds to poor farmers in Africa. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is helping pay for the Johnston company's $19.5 million project along with the U.S. Agency for International Development, Pioneer announced Wednesday.
When all the better varieties are developed and the African farmer is enjoying bountiful harvests in adverse conditions I will be the first one to come up and bend over to get my ass kicked for not trusting. Until then I remain skeptical you might say.
If you don't know - tomatoes don't grow worth a shit period in West Africa. Never have. These companies want to do a real positive develop tomato seeds that do much better than what is available now.

Arizona Dummy Hit In Head By Train
When I was a kid growing up in the middle of that cornfield the Rock Island railroad tracks were less than a hundred yards away. There was also a creek running through the farm that had a steel trestle over it. In addition there was a wooden bridge my grandfather and father built to get to the fields on the other side. All I can say is that this was a perfect place to play and find adventure for a kid like me.
Let's just say the trains got messed with as they passed by. There was actually passenger service at that time. In any case quite a bit of "things" were put on the rails in the hopes of - well it was an experiment to see what would happen. I was curious back then too. That has not changed. A couple times the section gang foreman made a visit to the house explaining to mom and dad there was getting to be at times an abnormal amount of debris on the rails and could they keep an eye out for suspicious activity. I think he was trying to spare me the spanking but it didn't work.
Before I moved to where I live now my house was maybe 50' away from train tracks. For 17 years I lived there and loved it. These things could put me to sleep within seconds. The house would move just a bit and it's like getting rocked to sleep.
In any case since I had smartened up a bit from the early days the only things I put on the rails were small objects as curiosity is present about what a 130 ton rail car filled with coal wheels would make that object look like. I have some interesting pieces from doing that.

Get home and the first thing I read is that kamikiller has become a overnight hero to all the new patriots in our fine nation that has more than it's share of simpleton fucktards which is obvious if they think this sonofabitch qualifies for such an honor.
Well folks this is what we get when our side doesn't fight back hard enough. At least the ones that have the power to actually make a difference. I understand the deck is stacked for the other side but the least we could have done is field a fucking team.
The limbo's,becks all of them and their tactics are proven winners to the many with simple tastes small worlds and minds. There is more coming you can count on it. These people are just getting wound up and the above smell blood.

Paapa Yankson-One Fly And A Flute
Over 30 years ago on the bus to Accra from Winneba to eventually return to the states I shared a seat with Paapa Kofi Yankson. That experience made me question whether I should be leaving Ghana.
From Winneba Paapa was attending the National Academy of Music located in his home town. Already an accomplished musician he wanted to learn to play the flute so he would be able to incorporate this into his music which he has done.
I have searched for videos of this man but always came up empty. Today I got there by accident and those memories and his music brought a tear to my eye. This is a great song and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
As a side note. I left Ghana from Kotoka airport just like the underwear bomber did. I paid for my ticket in cash. FYI to this day that is still the only way you will purchase a ticket at Kotoka. No plastic allowed.

There Is No Bravery In The Killing Of Innocents
I am so tired of the innocents being killed in my name.
I have grown weary of enduring years of this killing.
I have grown so bitter of the hypocrisy of those who condone this and pray to a cloud being that does not exist.
I despise the people who were put in office to change this but instead fund more killing in my name.
Is their an attitude here? Of course yes and it will not change.

It Is Possible To Make Change
Did it this week at corporate level on an issue chapping my ass for some time. At least that's what I'm being told that there are meetings happening to institute price changes for end users to at least put some limits on exorbitant pricing that penalized way too much those who were making the choice to use these products. It will take a bit but I believe them. We'll see as I'm not going away for awhile anyway.
In this case implied maybe it was time to take a different direction in what we purchase. Talk about action real quick like!! If only we could get a bit of positive action out of the many slugs there are in DC.

Sorry O I forgot you're in college now but can't read. If you are unable to do that chances are one in three you cannot write worth a shit or balance your bank account. Who knows maybe all three.

And this in a state that is not poor compared to others. I am not an educator but I do teach and instruct in other ways younger people. The one thing that has stood out for years is that younger people can't write legibly period and throw spelling in there as well. I enjoy working and playing with friends who are so much younger than I because that's the way you have to look at it at least to me.
This is nothing new and has been going on for years. It's truly disgusting and what about the many places around the country where it's even worse. People are not even educated well enough to make good decisions about their lives let alone take part in a civic duty to their country. Civics is a unknown to students.
Said in the past and again now the Catholic crazys screwed up little One Fly in less than six months of a two year stint during junior high. High school was a bust for the most part.
What I learned from K-6 in a perfect learning environment carry me to this day and I am so happy for that. A simple education learning the basics is needed again. It just isn't that hard to do.

Big Kittys For Late On Caturday
There are many of these around and they are hunted by many.

Closed that's what! What has to be one of the largest and most successful real estate franchises in the country in a local market that experienced incredible growth and profits REMAX-locked up the doors and took the sign down.
But according to the local whore fish wrapper everything is just fine the sales people just went other places. Things are not all that peachy in Ski Town USA. Look there is no snow! Sales tax down 16% for 2009. Schools cutting 10% like most places. At least six empty businesses between here and work about six miles. At county level it's similar and for our neighbors as well.
The town government just approved a major annexation and I mean major for a town of 10,000 because there is a need to get 2000 homes in 20+ years ready for all the people who are not coming to live. The people luckily have the final say in this matter later in the month. That's the way it's supposed to be and there won't be any cheating going on.
All the hoping isn't going to change anything. If ever there was a time where government needed to make good fairly quick decisions it's now. We're not getting that and we are not going to.
Tonight there is a ceremony that sends the local Olympians away with best wishes to do well in the Olympics. That's very cool and has been going on like forever and is going to produce massive amounts of good feelings. YES!

Two men suspected in the fatal shooting of a policeman led dozens of Arizona law officers on a 50-mile midnight chase, but couldn't shake pursuers despite firing bullets and spreading debris.
Although this probably wasn't on tv they love it when there is video for the sheep. Don't you simple bastards who break the law have a clue that if they find out they're gonna get ya more than likely and if you try to get away in a vehicle they gonna get ya for damn sure. What I don't like with the pulice stories that are everywhere and the way they are framed as this one is and I do take into account the fatality.
