Brown's Park in far north west Colorado about 8 in the morning. Sooo nice. There were massive amounts of dragonfly's. The were also many more mosquitoes. In a place so dry you wouldn't think that. Was reminded of that old Minnysota spiritual "There's a Skeeter on your Peeter" there were so many. You betcha.

Ah, yes, a Minnysota spiritual... I've been singing a version of that myself this summer, with some differences. :)
ReplyDeleteKnew you would catch that. I bet it's a toss up of who has more and that goes for anywhere.
ReplyDeleteWhen I started hiking/backpacking back in the 1970s, I couldn't imagine there were mosquitoes in the mountains. Boy, was I wrong!
ReplyDeleteThe worst mosquito hordes I've encountered were on Isle Royale and in the Everglades.
I've heard the horror stories of guys getting hurt and the skeeters finishing them off.
