I drove past this between Salida and Cotopaxi on State Highway 50 in Colorado. I had to turn around and tell whoever that I stood with them totally assuming I was correct. I was and got the biggest hug of appreciation for doing so.

From my understanding, there are close to 3000 children being held around this country after being seized from their parents at the border.

Many will never see their Mom and Dad again because Republicans are totally evil.

You bastards!

A Few Fotos From Todays Cruise

Clear sky's all day but cold. Snow from Fruita to 40 miles south of Flag. Click on these and they get huge. I like the one with the tree the best but the fence is in it. Snow was a foot deep and didn't have the right shoes on.

Power plant just south of Craig,Colorado

South of Moab-something that once was. People used to live here and make a living.

Where Forrest Gump turned around. The next three are in the same place.

Just north of Kayenta in the Navajo Nation.

Sunset Crater just north of Flagstaff.

  2. Thanks Suzanne and the same to you. I think that is where Forrest turned around to go home to Greenbough.

  4. 80 years is a long time. I was surprised I came away with these. The bottom one is Sunset Crater.

  6. Beautiful pictures, that is my favorite too! I use to like running around in those areas and climbing where I could
I worked the missile sites all around there.

  7. Yes, great pics as usual. I still wish you would add several lines of description with your pics - some of us either haven't enough time out your way to know the pic's location or why you shoot what you shoot. For instance, is that a coal-fired plant in pic number 1?

  9. I was at Sunset Crater this summer. The rock formations there are just amazing. Hope I never see one of those things go off.

Hope it was a good Christmas.

  10. One of the BEST days on this part of the planet begins with sunrise over Monument Valley, includes a pleasant jaunt across the Din'eh country, and concludes with cocktails at sunset on the veranda of the El Tovar at the Grand Canyon...There's that rail-line to nowhere, on which I have NEVER seen ANY rolling stock...Dinosaur tracks, Tuba City, the canyon of the Little Colorado...I love that country...

Great fotos, btw--but you have the touch...would you mind sending the Bandalier collection again? I seem to have mis-filed the first set you sent...

    Happy New Year, pard...

  11. Cujo-what did you think of Wupatki??

Right now I'm in north Phoenix Woody and getting the hell out of here soon and going to Tuscon or that area anyway. I'll send them again.

  12. Wupatki was amazing. Like a miniature condominium in the middle of the desert. It's not the best time of year, I suppose, but if you get the chance to visit Montezuma's Well, it's also worth a look.
